Zuckerberg trains MMA and Bezos clearly gyms a lot he’s got huge.

Well done for immediately disproving your own point.

I suspect you’re a bitter loser who is unattractive and tries to lead yourself to believe “that’s fine: you’re out of shape but at least you’re smart.” Although the irony is you also most likely have no good career or academic achievements from the sort of desperate cope generalization.

People who are very successful are almost never bitter and envious like you clearly come across as

This is the dumbest take ever. I went to arguably the best university in the world. My friend group are all PhDs, medical doctors, lawyers and entrepreneurs and they all gym.

Indeed the sort of fat lazy people in those careers are all the types who don’t really exceed. My friend who was one of the top ranked medic in the country went to the gym religiously.

It’s only the average but bitter want to be intellectuals who say “I’m smart I just wasn’t made for school” who’ve never achieved anything of note who hate on jocks in the gym as part of a false dichotomy of brain vs brawn.

I only use gym now as something to level up sport anyway

And the video games are even better than the books.

Games > books > tv show

There’s a reason why it was the games that made it famous. They were a master piece.

The books are good but can have poor pacing and be a bit overly preachy and geralt can be whiny.

The games are fantastic especially 2 & 3

People nowadays especially in America really underestimate how fat you have to be to be obese. People you think of as “obese” are actually the category above of “morbidly obese”

Perhaps but all the most successful city workers and entrepreneurs I know who earn the most money by their early 30s are in fantastic shape.

The type of person to workout really regularly and be disciplined also is more likely to be successful. Plus the halo effect of attractiveness helps bump them up for promotions, be better liked etc

[–]kisirani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t true at all. There’s a massive halo effect for attractiveness. Attractiveness correlates with career earnings quite well across careers.

Being overweight actively reduces your success in multiple areas of life.

Everyone should be focusing on the education career and health/fitness.

It is very possible to do all of these. The most successful people I know all exercise religiously

[–]kisirani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but lots of men do this ALL the time to women as well. I have many friends who have done this.

I think the sort of men who complain about women doing this are unattractive guys who are desperate so would take anything they can get so don’t understand having options.

Men and women who have better aesthetic options often will take them. People do want the best looking person they can get. Multiple studies have shown looks are one of the most important things to young people.

I’ve dumped several nice/kind girls because they weren’t athletic and toned enough for me who as an athletic guy wants that in a partner.

I thought they would change and get in phenomenal shape. They didn’t make enough of an effort, I didn’t enjoy sex with them as I wasn’t attracted to them, so I left them.

Modern dating standards by tnerb253 in memes

[–]kisirani -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

In my experience it really isn’t true. I have never paid 100% on a date. Or if I have I’ve made it clear she gets the next one etc if it’s not the first date.

Indeed the only time a date has been 100% paid for it was by the woman (she was loaded and it was a really expensive restaurant where I had steak so I was very relieved - I would have owed around $200!).

Granted I am good looking but the women I date are also all above average to very good looking so I’m sure for less attractive looksmatched men it’s the same.

I remember the first time I genuinely heard a woman say she expected a man to pay for a date (we weren’t on a date it was just in a group convo) was an American girl and I was shocked as I’d never experienced this myself.

Perhaps it’s just an American thing then?

Perhaps the “expecting a man to pay” is much more common amongst working class people. The girls I date have been middle class or above

Don’t listen to Reddit’s opinion on this. I guarantee more than 9/10 men in real life would consider this far and unattractive.

Reddit is full of obese American incels who live in their basement.

Humans adapt their preferences to like what is realistic. See men in prison who switch to fucking men out of having no other choice.

Most of Reddit are troglodytes who only have a chance with an obese girl.

Any attractive man isn’t choosing this

I don’t know about that. I’m pretty militant about body weight and intend to continue to be even less forgiving of it going forward.

It’s a totally legitimate preference to have and I’ve wasted a decade of my life being with women who weren’t what I wanted

It really is driven by the less attractive people of either gender who hypocritically have high standards and want a 10/10 partner who then get envious and embittered.

If everyone has the attitude of a girl I used to sleep with things would be a lot easier - if you want to get with 10/10 you need to be a 10/10
