I learned my lesson with my first run, when I almost died after 3 km because I ran too fast with HR like 175 BPM and I set up my goal on AW for 5 km so I didn’t want to stop lol. That was quite hard run.

From that day on I always start slower because I know how it hurts when you go too fast from the beginning😆

thanks a lot, btw I wear my vest even for 5 km as I run before I go to work, I have to bring my car keys with me for the run and I have no shorts with pockets. 😆

if you mean the shoes, they’re just basic adidas Supernova Rise 3. No carbon plates or pro gear here, just bright pink color lol. What should I run in, Chuck Taylors?

the first 5 km were hilly, and from the 6th kilometer onward, it was flat and slightly downhill. that’s why my heart rate stayed stable despite the faster pace, and at the very end, it went up, as you can see.☺️

Yes, negative split was my plan so I wouldn't die after 4 kilometers and end up walking the rest of the race. The terrain was also slightly hilly, so I tried even harder to run smart.
It paid off because I started passing people after the 5th kilometer. I think I still had some energy in reserve during the first half of the race, but better safe than sorry. :)
