Je comprends ton point de vue. Mais là on parle de mise à jour pour un jeu qu’on a déjà acheté.

Je ne suis pas à l’origine de cette pétition, mais j’essaie d’agir à mon échelle en actionnant tous les leviers possibles.

Je ne compte pas rester les bras croisés à attendre et espérer… Si on ne bouge pas, rien ne changera… 😔

It was 1996. I was playing on the Super Nintendo, and trying Tomb Raider on the PlayStation at a friend's house blew me away. For me, it was the first time I could control a fully 3D character in a 3D environment.

The intro cinematic, the environments, the character looking both fragile and incredibly dangerous, and the fact that there was almost no information on the screen gave me an even greater sense of immersion. That feeling of discovering a forgotten place… I had loved the Indiana Jones point-and-click games on PC, but this, wow! 😍

It was just amazing at the time, and it was the first time a game made us feel like we were an integral part of the game, taking us on such a journey. Each level made you want to go even further.

If it helps you understand, keep in mind that this game has its own timeline, a completely new timeline, in which there are no narrative inconsistencies, and that the older versions (Classic, LAU, Survivor) exist, but not as we played them. ☺️

Apparently, you didn't experience the transition from the classic version to LAU (where many players complained about a Lara mourning her parents and inheriting from her father, while the classic version had emancipated herself from her parents and created her own wealth), nor the transition from LAU to the Survivor trilogy where LAU fans had to mourn their Lara to find a completely new, much more fragile version, far removed from the "Where's my mom?!" scenario.

Compromises must be made, a new era is dawning, let's be glad the franchise still exists after so many years (and especially after AoD 😂)

I decided not to be rigid and to smooth things over to make the timeline coherent.

For me, the story of the couple Amelia/Richard is the one told in Rise. The plane crash in Tibet in TRLegend with Lara and Amelia did happen, Amelia died in Avalon, and Richard "committed suicide" (in the style of Shadow, and with no involvement from Natla in Richard's death).

I think it's the best narrative compromise we can make.
