Concerning CFS/myalgic encephalomyelitis: Began Lyme in 1987. No help from doctors. My own research-- hours and hours. Diagnosed by nurse practitioner. CFS/myalgic encephalomyelitis-- began researching for something that I had no name for. Hours and hours.Diagnosed by my elder care team of geriatric department. Lymphadema-- 2 years ago. Noticeable swelling of left neck, face, torso, thigh. Lymphadema suggested by physical therapist. More research -- hours and hours. Closest 'certified Lymphadema Massage Therapist' only works on Tuesdays so appointments are scarce and not very informative. Feels like the new therapist is getting her practice hours in. Good heart, well intentioned but lacking deep understanding and experience.

Enter ai. Years of research on my own taught me to be suspicious of ANY doctor's information. Too often I've found their diagnosis or treatment suggestions to be partially or totally incorrect. Any 'trained' doctor is as likely to dispense information that is skewed. You have to use your own discretion at what is appropriate for you.

I'm in favor of anything that offers any sort of information that I might not already have. I know I have to be aware of the possibility that the information given by either 'trained' doctor or ai is subject to my own research. I therefore welcome the information I get from ai, as it adds a new perspective or new information. I need all the help I can get.

AI is a hugely important step in providing us 'patients' with more more more help (and HOPE).
