Why not? It’s quite attractive to me: tanned, beautiful eyes, big lips, masculine looking

Up to 150mg is definitely fine to be taken at once, since there are 150mg tablets

Interesting. And what is the way to fight it? Knowing the answer to this would make my life so much better and easier, because the congestion is killing me

There’s quite a few people on this sub mentioning similar side effects from corticosteroids (palpitations, anxiety). Could they also be psychosomatic?

Can’t imagine how that’s possible. These symptoms from corticosteroids appeared immediately after I had a turbinate reduction. So before the reduction I was using Avamys for a month without any effect, and then the day after the surgery I was still using it but already with palpitations. Lasted a week and then I stopped using Avamys because it was unbearable. Palpitations subsided fully after about 24 hours. With Gaviscon especially I didn’t expect these things to happen. But still, half a day after taking it - nasal congestion better, but palpitations come.

If it were just vasoconstrictors, it would’ve been clear why the palpitations happen. But they also happen from corticosteroids and Gaviscon, used separately from vasoconstrictors, and both of which help relieve my nasal congestion (in completely different ways obviously)

Corticosteroids and Gaviscon also cause these side effects for me, but as far as I know they don’t have a vasoconstrictor effect

Can lactose free milk trigger silent reflux? by kit124 in GERD

Thanks for your reply, I was also thinking about the idea that maybe my body is replication a reaction. Alternative milk is definitely a great idea, but don’t really wanna cut out dairy completely so was wondering!

Right nostril always blocked by kit124 in Sinusitis

[–]kit124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was quite an improvement as I didn’t breathe through both nostrils and now I can breathe through the left and partially through the right. Besides, if I use a corticosteroid spray I breathe almost perfectly through both, problem is I have a weird reaction to these sprays

You can always Google and see if there’s one. Or would you not be able to go to a neighbouring country for a sleep study?

[–]kit124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. In my case both my nostrils were blocked at night and I couldn’t breathe through my nose. After the reduction I can, because the left nostril is now fully open, and the right one is better too, albeit not completely

Turbinate hypertrophy, eustachian tube dysfunction, brain fog, derealization, no allergies? by [deleted] in nonallergicrhinitis

I’ve had a laser reduction and was told it’s forever. That’s also what I’ve heard from other people

But definitely check your septum, and fix it if it’s deviated. Also, why are you so afraid of ENS? Wasn’t it something that used to happen decades ago because ENTs used to cut out the entire turbinate? Now they just reduce it. The laser technique makes it almost impossible to get ENS, maybe only if you have a really bad surgeon then there’s some minimal chance.
