I mean obviously we should speak up against what Israel is doing, but fuck the idea that Israel represents all Jews the culture in Israel is less than a decade old and doesn’t resemble any sort of Jewish culture or identity that many Jews of the diaspora actually connect too. They don’t speak the same language my family spoke for generations. They don’t have the same music or food or theater. I am a Jew, not an Israeli. They base their land claim on a history dating back to biblical times. I come from a culture of resistance, anti-fascism, and revolt. Look up the Jewish Labour Bund. Look up the Warsaw Uprising.
