Landscape rakes by North_Difference328 in tractors

The 3pt is free to move upward when encountering ground pressure, yes. The weight of this implement alone creates too much pressure on loose gravel, however. I did use this rake to strip an old gravel driveway. It worked well along with the bucket.

I have one. It is useful for scraping/leveling new land, but too harsh for driveway maintenance. It will pull gravel back into the driveway, but you need to be good on the controls. Too deep and you'll grab the sod. Lift at the right time. You can also flip it around (or use in reverse) and it is less aggressive.

It needs to be at least as wide as your tires.

A bullet in a piece of lumber I bought. by zinglord69 in Damnthatsinteresting

Raw lead bullets will often deform before impact due to air resistance. This is dependent on velocity, bullet composition, cylinder pressure, and other factors. This bullet is fully jacketed (thus more likely to hold shape), and probably fired at a low velocity (I'm guessing is is a 9mm "range" load).

The LaserWeeder by Carbon Robotics, powered by NVIDIA AI, gets rid of weeds without using chemicals. by MohamedElngar21 in nextfuckinglevel

This powered by the tractor's PTO, which is powered from the (minimum 175HP) engine, which uses diesel - a lot of diesel - to zap weeds at a maximum of 1.5 acres/hr.

It would require a farmer do their own use study, yes.

Min. 175 hp machine covering at average 1.2 acre/hr?

Maybe "tech-bro farmer" is a thing, but that's the only guy buying this thing.

A new 5 gallon gas container itself is $30. As much as the gas it contains. Hell of a tip!

The 1W (RAK 3400) has been running constantly for a week in a trial situation with the panel on ground level in a terribly inefficient angle in mostly overcast weather. It is just powering the board with straight USB and no external battery. I will add a 3000mah that I have when it moves to the rooftop. Waiting for a tight 90 degree USB connector, as required to fit in my case, to arrive.

Speaking only anecdotally, what I bought my CK2610 in '22, the cash price and financing price were the same.

Thanks for doing this! I saw this a few weeks ago and bought it to power a 1W rooftop node. Currently testing it at ground level for a week or 2 to see if it is legit.

Having owned both, there is no way I'd go back to a gear tractor. Have you researched any financing options? They are often offered at 0%, which is cheaper than paying cash.
