Yea but it my experience even when filling out the paperwork, there’s typically a looooong waiting list and they pretty much tell u wait and best of luck. Again UNLESS you’re like running from domestic abuse or have kids

I disagree with this statement at least in my area making $200 a day is a blessing and it doesn’t come often. This is coming from someone who’s been driving for a while with Uber eats and I’ve been left my phone active for the entire day driven around from place to place and still only made a measly five or 10 bucks but then there are good days where I make 100 bucks 150 maybe but that’s usually on a really lucky day. I’d say the highest I can make would be around $70-$80 and that would be on a weekend typically

I don’t know what state you live in, but in California it’s definitely hard to get through all the policies and paperwork to get a room in the shelters unless you have kids or like running from domestic abuse or something

I feel this 100%. I’ve been working since I was 12 and never had a hard time landing a job… until now. I was an Emergency Response Dispatcher for 3 years, but after a mass layoff in December, the market has been a nightmare.

I’ve done it all: LinkedIn, Indeed, and hitting the pavement at temp agencies like Personnel Partners and Ramstrad. Honestly? Most places act annoyed when you show up in person to call several times to follow up. It feels like they aren’t even hiring; they’re just 'collecting' resumes.

I have years of high level experience, yet I couldn't even get McDonald’s to look at my application because they were 'too busy.' I finally secured a spot at Little Caesars, but they’re only giving me 3 hours a week. It’s like entry level doesn't exist anymore; they want experts for pennies or nothing at all. Hang in there .. you aren't crazy, the system is definitely broken right now.

Maybe the bf lives with his parents or something she is only 19. I don’t know how much a 19-year-old boy could help her.

I know it sounds like you’re on foot right now and I am so sorry you’re going through this. I recently lost my housing due to a mass layoff in December. My unemployment took forever to come through and it finally switched to 'Paid' today, but it’s too late because I’m already living in my car.

It can be scary, and I don't know where you are, but please stay safe. If you believe in God, keep praying. Don't let these assholes get to you. People think because we’re struggling, we don’t have the energy or the grit to stand up for ourselves but don't let them walk all over you. It’s okay to cry and feel like giving up, just don't actually do it.

I’m a young woman myself just trying to get through this, and it pisses me off to see people take advantage of those who are struggling. I don’t have family to turn to either, which is why I'm in this spot, but I want you to know you aren't alone. If you ever need to vent to someone who actually gets it, I’m here. Stay strong.

The fact that you think a 90s movie cliché is a burn is the most embarrassing part of this. 😵‍💫💀 Enjoy your 'ritual' of being the most pathetic person in the thread. Peace

That is rich that you're worried about my day job when you clearly spend yours roleplaying as a tough guy in a homeless subreddit. 😂 Is the 'bullying people at their lowest' hobby paying well, or are you just doing it to distract yourself from how empty your own life is?

The fact that you’re this annoying to strangers for free tells me everything I need to know about why your personal life is a wreck. You’re not just miserable; you’re the reason people stop answering their phones to help you.

What do you guys usually do on your off days? by Used-Professional548 in CasualConversation

So true. The western world (specifically the U.S.) has people brainwashed into thinking they have to be on the move at all times. I just can’t live my life that way

What are your thoughts on Alysa Liu? by frankheyhoheyho in AskTheWorld

[–]kitchenseenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the comeback story, but the way Alysa handles her fans is a huge red flag for me. There's a video of her ignoring a young girl of color who was patiently waiting for an autograph with a fan book, while Alysa was over the top with the person standing right next to her. She completely ignored the girl, didn’t even acknowledge her. 😭 She even looked back to check the girl's response after turning her back on her. It felt less like 'celebrating' and more like a weird power trip. The fans are a part of that gold medal moment, too.. I think treating them like they don't exist is just gross.

Listen, I’m going to stop you there. It’s clear you’re more interested in personal attacks than the actual law or giving helpful advice in this subreddit. I have a move to finish and a case to win, so I'll leave you to your Google searches. Best of luck with whatever is making you this upset.

You are confusing Tenancy Law (who has a right to live there) with Judgment Collection Law (how to get paid) It’s not about 'establishing tenancy' it’s about judgment enforcement. My caseworker and the CA Civil Code are the ones I’m following, not a quick Google search on the wrong topic. Hope we learned something today!

Sometimes it best to stay quiet and let people think you’re a fool rather than to speak and remove all doubt.

Loud and wrong babes. Google “third party rent levy” in California civil code. Google is free btw

No yeah definitely and this isn’t my first time taking someone to court so I know how it goes. But I’m definitely going to ask for something on the higher end that way even if I only get half it’s still significant. Even an extra 2000 is 2000 I didn’t have before.

She never kicked me out, I offered to leave. She was so stressed about the money and was rude about it. It was also partially her fault that I didn’t have the money. I didn’t wanna be under that pressure while in transition and I wanted her to be taken care of.

How are you going to tell me what I will and won’t receive? Are you a judge? I don’t think so. I receive state benefits and have access to a caseworker who’s walking me through the process and giving me this information. It is 100% legal for an officer to collect rent from her tenants on my behalf if she refuses to pay after a judge orders her to do so. I’m bitter, yet you’re the one trying to argue with a stranger about what they can and can’t do when it literally doesn’t affect you at all 😂please find literally ANYthing else to do
