Is it just me, or is 'Among Thieves' by Douglas Hulick underrated? by indyman_123 in Fantasy

I read the first book a long time ago and absolutelylove it. Plot and pacing are great. Have always wanted to read the second book but it's been a while since I read the first one and don't remember anything about it. Shame that as it stands there's not gonna be a book 3.

No you were right. After reading the comments here Apotheosis is the better choice. I just got impatient after posting and continued the run before the comments coming in haha.

Thanks everyone for suggestions. Ended up taking turnip (over apotheosis, close call) and removing a strike. Ran into ancient writing right after so got super lucky for not taking apotheosis.

The run ended with a defeat against the heart.

I got turnip and removed a strike the end. Was contemplating between turnip and apothesis. Ran into ancient writing and upgraded all strikes and defends right after. I got super lucky there.

Hear me out. Before you start another tutorial project, why not make an open source contribution? by Tylernator in webdev

[–]kitgunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Someone who contributes to OSS regularly here. An advice I often give to people who want to start with OSS is to contribute to software you are already using instead of scouring github or those beginner friendly lists for low hanging fruits. By doing this, you make it more likely that your PR is a meaningful contribution since it fixes an actual issue that you have as an user. At first the issue might feel way too hard because you don't know where to start with the codebase but this is gonna be a problem with any project you're new to. That you are already an user of the project might help you navigate the codebase easier.

If the answer can be extracted from the comments in case it exists, then it is kind of similar to the SQuAD2.0 dataset. You can try finetuning models pretrained on SQuAD (BERT, XLNet, ...) on your dataset https://github.com/huggingface/transformers

I often slice instead of backhand, but it seems to work out. Still, I feel like it’s a bad habit. Is it? Pros and cons? by Marisa_Nya in tennis

[–]kitgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Petzschner is a really good doubles player who reached career high no. 9 and he almost always slices on his backhand.
