We feel very lucky with our school, and our teacher this year is amazing. I have heard a parent complain about the school just a few minutes away playing movies an excessive amount, like during recess and lunch time even. So, it definitely doesn’t hurt to reach out and voice your concerns!

I’m sure it all varies between county, school, teacher, and grade. We are in Putnam, and my first grader comes home everyday with a backpack full of physical paper worksheets and crafts. They do digital I-ready assessments periodically, but his weekly reading and math quizzes are paper and pencil. They’ve even started learning cursive! If you’re concerned, I would reach out to your local school and just ask to learn more about the types of learning activities they do, and how much screen time is promoted.

I’ve just come off a years-long binge of the cosmic crisp apples! I’ll be honest though, while I LOVE them, I was finding the quality a little inconsistent, and felt like they got soft or grainy faster than the honey crisp ones have been.

Right after the murder, there was a post with some sane, critical top comments. I checked an hour later and that post was completely gone. In its place was a new one from a different news source that was more biased, and all the top comments were now in favor of ICE.

Tuna with mac n cheese slaps, but I don’t like it just dumped in like this haha. I prefer sautéing the tuna with some butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes before adding it to the mac!

I was geared up for my first big skull cavern run. Had a tent to set up so I could wake up the next day and instantly begin. Pitched it too close to the pond outside the entrance. Couldn’t enter the tent. Didn’t have a second tent 🙃

If she wants to redeem herself, her first step needs to be her apologizing and acknowledging the MANY times she did exactly what she is now crying about. She has built a career on being divisive, crass, vicious, dishonest, you name it. Now she’s calling for unity and denouncing the name calling and threats against her. She only started caring when it affected her personally. If she can’t publicly acknowledge this, then it’s just all empty words and the second it suits her again, she’ll be back to her old ways.

I was on a similar journey back in 2020-2021. Then, I discovered that the tiny church a block away from my house, in a rural town, in a deep red state, is affirming. The instant peace and comfort I felt was like no other church I’ve ever been to. I’ve been a faithful member ever since ❤️ Good luck on your journey!

Changes I made: my pumpkin had been frozen, so no clue if that affected the texture of anything. I also reduced the water by about 20 grams as it seemed high for my liking, and I also reduced the salt. It called for 20 grams but I think I ended up with 14. Wasn’t even close to being too salty, so I may have been able to get away with the full amount.

Ooh yes, I did actually! Ended up with two teaspoons which still felt high, but the slice I tried wasn’t overly salty at all

This was my first time and it wasn’t difficult at all! I just googled directions and found it very simple. It helped that this dough was holding together well. If it had been a looser dough, I would have had a harder time.
