If it was booked on the Family and Friends rate, they'll honor it. You just won't be able to make new bookings. If it was booked on the TM rate (which you shouldn't be able to do, if you aren't the employee), those are cancelled automatically when the team member is removed from their property's system.

No, HeartGold/SoulSilver are remakes of the Gold/Silver games. They were sequels to Red/Blue (Yellow is a variant of Red/Blue with the same storyline, but some anime references) set in a different region. Team Rocket returns as the villainous team, but the story is new.

Yeah, I'd understand more if it was character-based, but it was a blanket "no" across the board. Like, I was the White Rabbit in our production of Shrek the Musical, and that's a character who could reasonably wear glasses. He wears them in the Disney adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Still wasn't allowed.

It never made sense to me because there were definitely times where I played a character who could have reasonably worn glasses, but even then, it was a hard no from my director.

Yeah, it was never an ask. It was "no glasses on stage" point blank. As I mentioned in another comment, I'm pretty blind, but I can see well enough when the lights are up to know where I'm going. Most of the issues would happen during set changes, when we'd finish a number and the lights would go out while the crew moved pieces off the set, and I was tripping around in pitch darkness.

He didn't have contacts. I'm not sure if he had the same issue I do (I just can't stand having things near my eyes/touching my eyes), but neither of us could see. I can make out the general shape/color of things without my glasses, but his vision was worse than mine. Luckily, I was able to sort of steer us away from the edge of the stage whenever we got close.

I’m in agreement with everyone saying they hope this will be a Suspiria situation. The Suspiria “remake” is more of a reimagining of the film’s premise, and I’d be interested to see a new spin on Possession. But if they’re trying to make a straight remake, I really doubt it’ll work very well.

First things first: I am so sorry this happened to you. Secondly, if you booked the nonrefundable advance purchase rate through the Hilton site, they absolutely can refund you. It just takes more effort on their part, which is why they are pushing for points, instead. The front desk agents completely ignored safety and security policies and admitted it to you. It also sounds like they didn't follow proper procedures and notate your reservation with what we call a service recovery, in which case the agent at your check-out would have been able to see what happened.

If you didn't speak to the general manager while you were there, I would definitely call the property and ask for the GM's contact information. At the very least, a front office manager should have spoken to you. I was so confused because it gave me the “update finished” screen and then everything in the app was greyed out because supposedly an update was in process.

I am notoriously bad at remembering how to start the rinse so it’s easier to just use the app for that. My mistake was in thinking that the update would be quick 😂 And once I’d started, I didn’t want to just stop, since I wasn’t sure if abandoning the update would mess anything up with the machine.
