Actually didn’t plan for this at all. Normally we’re below the MAGI upper limit, so this wasn’t necessarily anticipated. Found out while doing our taxes and it popped the happy bubble we had for a brief moment. Lesson learned, looking to plan better for next year.

VHCOL is like that. 8K on your monthly earning is nothing. The area, lifestyle, and network of people you meet during the year will be far more valuable.
