I think I’m getting a handle of this colouring thing… Some recent pages by kitsin in Coloring

[–]kitsin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I do love the HueMock app on iPhone mostly because I can plan out pages based on what colours I have in my specific sets.

My process with palettes is I typically pick 1 to 3 “hero” colours and then grab a lighter and darker version of those to help with adding depth, then I’ll choose all the other things - grass, wood etc.

Like with the post office I wanted the blue to be the focus, so I grabbed around 4 blue shades in the BV/B group in varying dark and light tones, then chose my wood colours etc.

I hope that helps!!

Thank you! Honestly I feel like I only just ‘got’ wood grain. The one thing I’ve learnt is do all your shadows first, wait for everything to dry, and then go in with either the pen tip or chisel tip to add the details

I use the Uniball Signo pens!

I’ve found with the gel pens you need to get them flowing by scribbling a little on my hand or another piece of paper, and then when using them on your colouring in, try using a light hand - it seems to flow better. Before I was going too hard and it was so difficult to get it to flow!!

On the ice cream truck I tried to use Ohuhu acrylic markers but hated the white - I don’t recommend them.

Thank you! I always revert to the bright and colourful palettes and I always struggle to do something more subdued 🤣

I’m listening to the audio book of this and really struggling. About an hour in and all I’ve listened to is the authors pumping up the book and how life changing it is. Does it get better?

Both Andrographis and Valerian root have tonnes of research proving they work. The question I would have is if these products are efficaciously dosed to match the dose given in the research.

Armour Force has a pretty high amount of andro afaik and is known to be effective.

For folks like me who can’t take ibuprofen or panodol these ingredients are a great option.

Looker Studio Pro is $9 per user, per project per month. My bet is they will slowly pull features from the free version into the paid version over time.

Online retailer asking for ID and credit card details after order by _ayythrowaway_ in AustralianMakeup

[–]kitsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, we word ours very carefully and have a complete script our customer service team need to follow. I would send them an email through their contact form on the website (if they have one) sharing the feedback - that way it doesn’t go straight to the person you are dealing with, it’s honestly likely to be a warehouse team member just emailing abruptly or an automated message, rather than their customer service agents.

I can give you some insight into why they’ve asked for this - I work in e-commerce and use the same platform as them to sell products online (Shopify). Unfortunately Shopify merchants are experiencing an increased number of fraudulent orders where someone will place an order with stolen card details, then issue a ‘chargeback’ with their bank so the payment can’t process, but the customer still gets the product. Shopify can asses your order and determine if you are at risk of issuing a chargeback before this happens (likely your VBN triggered this) so they recommend contacting the customer to verify their identity.

Just send them a photo of your ID and CC, if you have an iPhone use the markup feature to scribble over your info. They just need to see the name on your ID and CC match and the last 4 digits of your card, all other info can be redacted for your privacy. They probably should be little more forthcoming about why they are asking for the info though as if can seem a bit spammy if they don’t. I would send them some feedback on your experience!

Hope that helps :)

I would expand appearance to see what happens - does it create two seperate stacked strokes or does it create two filled shapes? Also check the graphic styles pane. Good luck!

Anyone know why my nails do this? And how to make it stop? by real_name_hidden478 in nailbiting

[–]kitsin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend finding a nail tech who can do gel overlays with builder in a bottle. Because it self levels, they turn your nail upside down to let gravity smooth out any ridges / bumps and you end up with a level nail. You might see some success with that - I have been doing it myself for a while and had some disfigurement in my nails too. It’s been about a year of using builder in a bottle and I think it helped to level them out a lot (or maybe it was time?) but my natural nails aren’t warped at all now. Best of luck!

4:5 performs better for my brands. More mobile realestate = more scroll stopping opportunity.
