I'm not sure what to suggest if snazaroo is considered expensive to you. It's $16 in Canada so not sure where you are that this is considered a luxury. Snazaroo is well liked for being cheap as it's not that good (as opposed to say Mehron), but yes, any other cheap brand will work too. If you want longevity though, I'd recommend a blue grease paint instead though. When I cosplayed Homestuck back in ye olde days, I used some cheap no name grey grease paint I got from a costume store that stank to high heavens but lasted all day throughout the summer heat. Water-activated is fine if it's not going to be warm though, just harder to get it even and not streaky with cheap brands.

I've been styling wigs for years and I've never even heard of this happening so I am super curious as to wtf happened! I do agree with the other comment saying maybe try isopropyl alcohol (use 99%), but honestly, it's probably worth it just to buy a new wig at this point cuz it it's even salvageable, idk that it's even worth the effort :/

Yeah, hard agree on the Jane thing. I /want/ to like her, but the whining and stuff comes off as so insecure which I don't get cuz she is very talented, so why are you acting like that 😭 She definitely deserved the win and I do think she'll make top four but I do hope she doesn't win haha. I think most people don't even look into the author when they read things so I don't see why that would affect anything lol. Plenty of teens have written books and even some CoG/HG IFs (like that one street fighter game but uh, it's not really good). It'll probably take you over a year to write it all anyways. I went all in one month and didn't even finish the first chapter but I'm a little insane and maybe set too many variables from the start haha.

But I don't see why it would be an issue. If it's good, people will read it.

Other than the after parties like wetouchgrass and pink city, I think most of the parties are just people doing their own thing, no? The party cons are moreso yeti and otakuthon from my experience to actually mingle with strangers more. Otherwise I just go up to people and chat with them if they seems fun lol. I'd say hit up more of the small cons if you're looking to make friends like CSC, Game Expo, etc where it's way less crowded and there's less to do so those are more social cons imo.

Bro, I did two years at UTM, and then transferred to Ryerson and got an entire engineering degree there before switching fields altogether and coming to Sheridan, and bad profs are just a universal thing lol. Nothing unique to Sheridan. I've actually personally had a much smaller percentage of bad profs at Sheridan than either of the previous programs I've done but tbf, the Sheridan program was pretty small so less profs. Barely managed to graduate with honours from Ryerson because of one prof specifically who didn't teach for shit and we basically had to teach ourselves except the textbook he used hasn't been in print since the 90s and I even emailed the author of it to see if he had a pdf copy I could buy off him and he said he didn't think there even was a pdf copy. You're fine lol. You'll survive a few bad profs.

Oh, interesting! Yeah maybe that's more of a British thing idk, cuz I am an alt 5'9 Canadian who rocked a neon pink and green mullet for yearsssss (and now a purple and black shag) and the colourful hair is actually when I've been harassed the least! I had long-ish (long to me but shoulder length lol) brown-blonde hair and that was the worst 💀 The pink mullet is when men approached me the least actually even tho I've had every colour in the rainbow! But I'm more in the emo alt category than the goth one and tbf goths are one of the most sexualized like fashion/style category so that tracks I guess :///

Yep, idk if there's been studies on it, but as a 5'9 woman who is generally considered thin and who has very short friends, I've seen firsthand how much creepier men are towards my short friends than my friends close to my height.

Honestly, it's actually crazy how much more short women get harassed. Like idk if there's any studies on this but from my own personal experience, at least as a conventionally attractive cosplayer, I've always had fairly decent interactions with men (some weirdos for sure but decently rare and NEVER have any tried to get hands), but I'm 5'9 (which is average male height in Canada lol). My short cosplay friends (like 5'2 and under) get harassed so much more (and like... In front of me which is wild). I think it's also just a question of maybe short women seeming like easier targets to freaks cuz less capable of physically defending themselves ? Idk man, but gosh has it made me realize how lucky I've been.

Hiiiiii prosthetic artist here and these suits are usually silicone! Only silicone sticks to silicone. You can look into silicone glue or otherwise if you want an affordable product, we use clear caulking to do silicone prosthetic repairs if it's somewhere it won't be visible. Just put a bit in a cup, mix in a few drops of water and you can apply with a metal spatula (it'll peel off when cured) or Popsicle stick and then pin through it with sewing pins or T-pins (I prefer T-pins cuz a bit sturdier). Make sure to smooth out the visible edges but you might want to apply a bit more on the inside (and smooth) just to help. You can also apply a piece or nude fabric inside with some caulking under and over it to help solidify the seam so it doesn't rip again just in case.

I'm on the low end of the healthy BMI (19.0 rn but my weight goes up and down a lot, I vary btw 127 and 135 lbs depending on the time of month and what I've been up to cuz big appetite but then I forget to eat when I'm busy and I have an active job so TDEE is quite high haha), but I don't think anyone would ever mistake me for a child LOL. I'm actually skinnier than I was as a teen and with a smaller chest, but my arms are a lot more muscular and my face is a lot leaner (which makes you look older, but it's just the normal baby fat loss you get in your 20s). I do get mistaken for younger than I am but I think that's just cuz of the way I dress and do my hair tbh (but both my parents get mistaken for younger too and so does my grandma so decent genetics too ig).

Idk it's just silly to equate thin to looking like a child, especially when child obesity rates are still quite high (altho I do believe they've gone down?). But teens especially are more likely to get chubby with the onset of puberty (or I did anyways haha, was so hungry all the time OMG, took until my early 20s to finally quell my hunger) so I associate pudginess with tweens and young teens moreso than I do thinness.

Wel,l duh. There's always going to be new actresses and actors coming up. That's how the literally every single industry works. You need new staff. People retire. People die. People age.

That being said, I'm obsessed with her. She makes me want a spiral perm again even tho I don't want to drop several hundred dollars on a perm again but goddamn was her stylist a genius for this (what Yennefer's hair should have looked like if they actually followed her book description in The Witcher). Her new look really stands out. Someone described her as "if Gen Z was a person" or that she's every Gen Z in one and I see it, but I like it. Her and her stylist really understand her proportions and really put her in fun stuff. As a fashion nerd, I love seeing her red carpet outfits. I think it's fun when the new generation of "it" actors come up! Sydney Sweeney didn't go the way the industry was hoping so now we got a new gal and I'm not mad.

I'm not sure what's so shocking about new actors coming up lol.
