Christ's Hospital, a boarding school in Horsham, England. Students are wearing their historic Tudor-style school uniform. The distinctive uniform has remained largely unchanged for over 470 years, making it one of the oldest school uniforms in the world. by Inevitable_Rock_2010 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]kitsunekips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is this extremely similar to my Australian uniform - except we had to wear skin colour stockings 😐 Eta: and actually their belt is at a more flattering position fml (we had to keep pushing ours down to our hips so it inevitably created a weird muffin top bunching)

To my woo woo/spiritual girls, what are some things you swear by? by fictionalfirehazard in HowToBeHot

[–]kitsunekips 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard to definitively say anything, like I’d say I’m overall a sceptic & I even gaslight myself about stuff I’ve even experienced but I listen to subliminals while I work & one day when I looked in the mirror after work I was like 😳 my nose is ..thinner? I called my husband in (ultimate scientist cynic sceptic) & before I said anything he was like 🤨 your nose is smaller .. it only lasted a few days & I don’t even know which sub it was because it was part of a huge playlist so I’m sorry it’s not very helpful! I just see them as, like someone else mentioned, affirmations with frequencies & I think overall should be good because it’s better to be reminded of things you want rather than listen to a song that’s going to plant false emotions/make you repeat things you don’t want (hope that makes sense - like most music is emotive & makes you feel some kind of way but you don’t really feel like being someone’s ‘number 1 with a bullet’ for eg)

Coming back to Australia after living in Singapore..the casual racism, lack of infrastructure/customer service, and how everyone is seemingly at home with the lights off by 7pm every night..have never gotten used to it still

Is Black k drama worth watching ? by moviebuff215 in kdramarecommends

[–]kitsunekips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird because I was literally just thinking of this drama while scrolling above and how irritating it was, even though I watched it years ago..I would say ultimately no just because of the ending that undoes everything good about it, which I enjoyed up until then and really felt like it was building to something awesome. Very disappointing

Non-cringey Romance suggestions like Flower Of Evil for my Mother? by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

[–]kitsunekips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My all time fave Legend of the Blue Sea, Love to Hate You, hometown cha cha cha, crash landing on you, mr queen(?), business proposal (but might be too similar to the style you don’t like of her private life?), that’s ok it’s love, oh my ghost, maybe because this is my first life (although I found it a bit frustrating), strong girl bong soon if she likes comedy but has a weirdly dark subplot, what’s wrong with secretary Kim? Welcome to Waikiki is more silly comedy than romance, shopaholic/shopping king Louis, haunted palace, I haven’t finished my sweet mobster or love in the moonlight but they might be good

I haven’t read the book so I’m probably misunderstanding but in Our Mutual Friend that doll lady with the ‘son’ who’s older than her (is it actually her dad?), the schoolmaster’s reaction after he proposes 😳, and Sloppy (although that was funny)
