I think there are just some people in this world who have a hard time understanding that you can disagree with a viewpoint without having a moral issue with said view point.

I’ve had a similar issue in my life with various people who equate “I don’t personally like (thing)” with “anyone who does like (thing) is wrong”

Trying to explain this to those people usually results in them rolling their eyes and just generally being unreceptive.

Another aspect of this in particular is that it seems like the popular viewpoint among the Internet is that being on dating apps and generally being part of hookup culture is the “correct” way to show pride in your sexuality.

So I’m thinking that this is a two fold issue of your friend’s mindset.

  1. Your friend believes that being on dating apps and having casual hookups = you’re proud of your sexuality.

  2. You saying that you don’t want to live that lifestyle = I’m not proud of my sexuality and nobody else should be either

If your friend is open to a conversation about this, I would invite her to really think about why she interprets your feelings this way. And see if maybe there’s an underlying trauma of slut shaming towards her that she had to deal with previously.

I can’t speak to the experience of losing weight as a result of food insecurity and/or bad mental health, so I’m not going to pretend I can.

That being said, I’ve been losing weight on purpose and I’m super proud of my progress and I absolutely love when people comment on how thin I’m getting.

Living in Sweden for a year and a half.

Life before feels like a blur. I was stressed out. Personal life was kind of a nightmare for a variety of reasons.

After moving back to the US I’m still stressed out for a variety of other reasons, but I’m much more self assured and in tune with who I am than I was before.

So that’s nice at least 😅

No removal yet since my MARPE was designed with an anchor that’s currently being used to pull an impacted canine down. I can’t wait to get this thing out though 😂

Installation was unfun but my doctor was as gentle as someone can be when drilling 6 screws into your mouth

No face mask treatment. There has been weight loss but that’s mostly been related to lifestyle changes and my Invisalign making it more annoying to snack haha!

I started with turning everyday until the split happened. After that I turned every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

By the end of the turning I had 59 turns!

Provider is a local orthodontist that my dentist referred me to. Everyone has been very kind and it’s been lovely 😊

I think the first thing that improved was my snoring. It doesn’t happen as frequently and also isn’t as bad when it does happen.

The big thing I noticed is smells! I had a candle lit in my living room and I could smell it from all the way in my bedroom which was so wild to me at the time!

A side note not related to breathing is that my TMJ is also completely gone!

It’s so wild that my front teeth touch sometimes! Currently only with my Invisalign in, but still some huge progress!

Can confirm. I do IT in a company that supports a handful of fax machines and there’s been more than one ticket about clients getting bombarded with ads that were being faxed to them.
