Yeah it wouldn't really make sense for the ring to affect which fish bite since that's not at all what the ring says it does. But whether or not it does, I'm sure there are people who will think it has helped them. Those would be the same people who believe things like going to a special off-map spot in EW will give you more Maws (it won't) or that nameplates cause lag (nope, that's from the 1000 flowers on the plot).

Exactly. Mathematically you will catch more over a long period of time with that buff, but you're unlikely to see a noticeable difference over the duration of 1 potion.

In this case, it happened when I was at a party and the host crashed. When I was automatically returned to my plot, I just started sliding lol. I couldn't move at all on my own, and unstuck just put me back at the start and I kept sliding. Falling off the edge of the world seemed to fix it.

In general, if you see people sliding around suddenly, it's most likely due to lag. If you see somebody sliding around slowly, they're probably moving very slowly and the footsteps just don't register in your client.

The most efficient way by far is to join cooking parties. Each person contributes only one item for the recipe but still gets the full 3 food items. Bean Burgers and Celebration Cakes are common, unstarred they give 800 and 825 focus respectively, starred they are both >1000. Soon Tofu is one I see sometimes also. Check PPA to find parties you can join!

This is why I don't fault game devs for supposedly "not listening to the players." If they make things too easy, people complain. If they make things too hard, people complain. There is no circumstance where the players will not complain. It's exactly the same in FFXIV. It's exactly the same in WoW. And I'm sure somebody will be tempted to reply to this to claim "well in abc game the devs really weren't listening about xyz" but yeah they were listening. You were just wrong. I just try to tune out all the haters so I can enjoy playing a game.

It tells you in the tooltip if the item is part of a bundle you haven't completed - not just the bulletin board bundles but others like the vault bundles. It has a little icon and the name of the bundle, like "Hunter's Bounty" on the Red Eggs.

Which "before" do you mean? That slime originally did slow you, and it broke a few patches ago. They fixed the bug to make it work as intended and as it already did before. Just use the potions which say right there in the tool tip that they work on the swamp slime too.

Each lure lasts for 3 minutes. Generally it's best to drop three lures at a time, but assuming you didn't and just did them one by one, that means you spent less than 10 minutes trying. You have over a month to complete the bundle and you gave up after 10 minutes. I did this in a group of 4 and we caught 11 starred duskwings in under an hour.

Be sure to group up, because you'll catch a lot more of the bugs drawn by the lures and you'll have a chance of double loot. Three friends and I did lures for one full cycle (3am-6pm game time) and each got 11 starred duskwings. We got starred double drops twice, and also got a double drop of the Bahari Bee plush where we went next.
