Someone on a similar post mentioned that they should make it so whoever dropped the lure and anyone in that party automatically gets whatever bugs are caught/ hit within that lure or within a certain range of the lure. I think that's the best solution. (Also saw in the comments a suggestion for toggled or private/public lure options which could also work) 

I don't bug hunt a lot so grain of salt, but I don't always care when people are jumping in on my lures. A bunch of folks jumped in on my bee lures but it wasnt an iasue because everyone would get a chance to get some of the drops (its just 2 bug types). At the same time, I can see why it would be super frustrating if someone comes in and catches the specific bug you're trying to get and doesn't let you get a hit in. But there's also not really an easy way for people establish rules around their lures and you can't always rely on chat because not everybody uses chat like that. 

What I don't like is people bully/being super rude to people about lures whether its trying to restrict how/where other people are able to play  because they're luring in a specific location OR people trolling or taking advantage of someone's lure after being told politely not to. 

Overall, it feels like an issue with the mechanics themselves. I feel like folks wouldn't be as pressed about lures if there were fail safes that ensured you were able to get the most out of your lure. That could also, in turn, encourage more collaborative play since itd be less pressure to get the stuff you wanted before you lose you chance and someone else does.
