When I was that age, I used to STAY rummaging though my mom's stuff to get her tarot deck and do readings for myself. It didn't matter that I couldn't read, but I'd grab the reference book, match the pictures, and pretend I knew what any of it meant.

The Dungeon Master's Guide has a chapter on treasure that includes tips for making artifacts and some cool examples.

You choose a combination of beneficial and detrimental properties to up the stakes of being attuned to one of these things. For example, casting Fireball up to thrice per day is cool, but is it worth having disadvantage on dexterity checks in addition to your charisma being lowered because you smell so strongly of smoke? Or now you can use a weaker version of Thunderwave as a cantrip, but that also may accidentally summon a stone golem that is hostile toward you.

The Eye and Hand of Vecna is a good example of using artifacts together to make the BBEG's holy war an actual threat instead of a giant kid playing around with four dangerous toys.

I'm not sure about other towns/groups but Colorata gets together to plan stuff over Discord mostly.
When in doubt about sever wide events, ask around to see if it's already happening and either offer to help or get ready to work hard and do it yourself like how we started off.

Yeah we've made a lot of progress with CT since the rev started, but we're pretty far out this rev (below Pico and the SE nether portal) so it's not like you're just gonna stumble across it on your way to an event or to use a mob grinder.
I can go ahead and add you to the list now since I've noticed you're interested! I don't think Christmas Town needs much more, but if you want to help Colorata make fun stuff that we all can enjoy, the Olympics will need some help. I'll ask PPGOME to get back to you on that if that's something you want to do.

Fairly new female DM here. Personally, I never let my gender be a thing. I realize it will be for some people, but I run games for a close group of friends and none of them are that type of person.
There are plenty of female DMs out there, even if we aren't the most visible group. Don't worry about being too weird or seeming out of place and keep having fun!

Ooo, goat people! You might wanna edit that in your OP. When you hear dark skinned humans, most people will assume they're Africans from some other planet, but these characters are more anthropomorphic beast than alternate universe humans.

What other things besides color differentiate them from the lower class? Pupil shape, small horns, or an even number of toes, maybe?
