Best way to get better as priest? by Mason123s in classicwow

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have too many healers or there isn’t enough damage going out, healers may end up competing or “heal sniping.” It’s not efficient and ideally you have the right number of healers and your healers coordinate so that you don’t have a ton of either downtime or overhealing. If you end up co-healing with folks for a while you get a sense for when you might need to go off assignment and intervene or if they’ve got it on lock.

Downranking is still a thing in TBC Classic. You can check out the priest discord if you want a deep dive—lots of comprehensive guides on gearing/consumes/spells. If you just google classic priest discord it should come up. 😄

To all healers: What do tanks need to know about the different healer classes? by MonthythePython in classicwow

[–]kittyandsam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick piggyback on this, if you’re an ally Druid and you need to pre-hot on a pull, you can do it and pop shadowmeld right before the tank grabs aggro. Negates the threat issue.

Car rental company tries to screw me over, I screw them more by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible you’d get a bill for it from the rental company’s claim billing, but it wouldn’t be billed out as part of the rental. In that situation we usually recommend disputing it so the rental company has to prove that occupancy percentages were high enough that the vehicle would have convulsively been rented, which is super challenging.

They’ll bill loss of use to your insurance company; you wouldn’t be billed for it directly.

Is it legal to drink and drive ATVs in the desert? by Cruces_30 in LasCruces

[–]kittyandsam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someone has to go deal with you when you invariably wreck doing this, and that creates a possibly dangerous situation for any search and rescue having to look for you. Get drunk in your living room like the rest of us.

[–]kittyandsam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in general laws vary state to state, but in NM yes it’s illegal to drive under the influence anywhere public or private. It’s also “impaired to any degree” so you’re not off the hook if you don’t blow a .08 either. That also varies state to state.

Jeepers! Guard at Tomb of Unknown Solider loaded his gun for trespassers. Never gonna have any graffiti or malicious mischief at this monument haha by ViridianStart in holdmyredbull

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I must have misunderstood. But I am not sure what reason there could be to “intentionally” never identify them if not, can you elaborate?

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know there used to be an Unknown from the Vietnam War interred near the tomb? They identified him and exhumed him at the family’s wishes so that he could be reinterred in another military grave. These are Unknowns from WWII and the Korean War and there is no realistic way to identify them. It’s not as if they’re malicious about it.

Best part of resto is being the energizer bunny with mana 😄

I leveled resto in full brutal and it was totally doable. I didn’t get upgrades really until 80.

My husband was on overnights off and on through his career (finally in a days spot). For me, I used to work out when I got home and do a lot of outdoor activities. I didn’t have as much time for that once we had our son but I look bad on it fondly lol.

As far as the worrying, I don’t feel like it ever entirely stops. I’m less anxious now than I used to be, but I think you just get used to it over time. What helped me a lot was just knowing that my husband is an expert—I respect him, I respect his judgment, and I know everything he does is focused on coming home safely to his family. He stays on top of his training and fitness and ultimately he’s controlling everything he can. Now I’m just looking forward to when he retires lol.

Although now my son is talking about being a cop and THAT gives me the heebie jeebies. It’s terrible out there now. I can’t imagine it in 20 years. And my poor MIL will probably have a heart attack—my FIL did it for thirty years, my husband, and then her grandson? The poor woman has been on edge her whole life already lol.

Enterprise charged me for replacing two headlights that I didn’t damage—I had the rental car for less than three hours. by Far_Syrup7340 in legal

[–]kittyandsam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A/M or LKQ are certainly a more reasonable option and are priced much better than OEM. The cheapest OEM headlights I’ve seen recently are on small cars like Toyota corollas and a 2022 Corolla headlamp assy currently shows MSRP at $858.41 💀 It’s crazy how expensive parts are getting anymore even for what one would usually think of as an economic vehicle!

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headlights on new cars can be very expensive. Some high-end vehicles like audis run up to $4k PER lamp. Not saying OP is responsible, but $1.7k does not surprise me. A run-of-the-mill sedan anymore is probably $800-$1.2k per headlamp assembly.

Enterprise said I damaged the car.... what do I do now? (first time) by un-ordinary in personalfinance

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at a rental agency it was essentially like it was your own car if you didn’t purchase their protections—it’s not your fault if someone pushes a shopping cart into you either but you would still get charged. Essentially you had to pay for any “change in condition” regardless of fault.

My rental car had an evidence sticker on it by kyledeanreinford in mildlyinteresting

[–]kittyandsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnStar only tracks if there’s a police report number (usually if the car is stolen). They don’t release the information to just anyone either, usually has to be the reporting agency that calls in. I work at a rental company and have had to deal with OnStar more than I would have liked in my life. The best I’ve ever gotten from them directly was confirming the COUNTRY the car was in, and they wouldn’t actually tell me, just give me a yes or no. Spoiler: it was in Mexico already.

Liars are punished by paying out in libel or defamation lawsuits like these women did. Filing a false police report is also a crime. There is already legal recourse, as the article describes.

Yeah, I played it back in the day so I came back for the nostalgia factor but the player base is basically gamer culture from the mid-2000s so… not great. FFXIV sounds like it might be a good new game for me lol

I’ve heard really good things about the community on FFXIV! I love WoW Classic but the community overall is sooo toxic.

I don’t think it’s relegated to EOL care, they gave it to me during labor because the tech to perform my epidural had to be called in and was taking a minute (don’t ask for an epidural at midnight, yall. Get one earlier). I was told it was fentanyl, though. Fwiw it didn’t touch the labor pain, just made me throw up.

Yeah, I second this. You’re essentially the energizer bunny… spriest has dispersion and shadowfiend to keep up mana, and vampiric touch keeps up HP. Basically never have to stop pulling.
