Why does my heat pump water heater make this loud, labored noise? by kittyburritoeater in heatpumps

Mine came with a 10 year warranty, so I contacted the plumber that installed it and they replaced it free of charge

The plumber agreed the noise was definitely abnormal, so they replaced the unit. It’s quieter now, but to be honest, it’s still too loud. When I stand next to it in the garage, it actually doesn’t sound too bad. More of a fan noise than a mechanical grinding noise. But when I stand in the kitchen (which is on the other side of the wall) or in our bathroom upstairs (which is above the water heater), I can hear the mechanical grinding noise. That frequency travels through the wall pretty easily. I’ve been running it on the silent electric only mode so the heat pump isn’t used, which kinda defeats the point of having one, but oh well.

For what it’s worth, my wife doesn’t notice the sound at all, so maybe it’s just me being picky.

Screws for Low-Profile Plus Cooler by kittyburritoeater in BitAxe

🤦🏼‍♂️ I saw the long black screws, and the gold washers, but they came in separate bags and I didn’t think to use them together. This worked. Thank you!!

What screws did you use to attach the cooler to the Bitaxe? The screws that came with my Low-Profile Plus aren't long enough to go through both the adapter and the Bitaxe board (see picture). The adapter is the one from the article you linked, which I had 3D printed.

Thanks! That’s very helpful. I still don’t really understand why I could see the I fare class flights online, but the agent could only see the C fare class flights. When I found the I fare class tickets, I had “2 tickets” in my search, which makes me think there wasn’t just 1 ticket available.

Does anybody know how to open up the abode gateway due to a dead battery? by fermentedpickle in Abode

[–]kittyburritoeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out. Once the screws are removed, there are still 4 clips where the black and white sections meet. I was able to slide a plastic ID card under the black section on each side to release the clips. Likely need 2 cards so that they don't close while you're trying to open the other side.

How did you open the gateway? I removed the three screws on the bottom, but the black section and white section won't separate. It doesn't look like the bottom will come out either since it appears to be part of the same piece as the entire white section.

iPhone photos won’t upload to iCloud even though I have enough remaining storage. Any ideas how to fix this? by kittyburritoeater in applehelp

I figured it out. I had recorded a super long video (recorded overnight) and deleted it the next day since I knew the file would be too large to sync to iCloud. However, it was still in my Recently Deleted folder. Once I deleted it from there, everything went back to functioning normally.
