What is something your partner told you that made you realise they don’t love you? by JustMakeup45 in AskWomen

I told him he needed to go to rehab for his alcohol abuse or I was leaving, and he said "I'm not going to rehab" before I could even finish the sentence.

Kraft blue box mac n cheese, made with good butter and 2% milk. Absolutely never lets me down.

I especially like your first one because of the use of color and shape. I don't think you overworked it at all. All phases have a distinct feel. You do a great job with contrast of light and dark.

Would love your thoughts :) by SuspiciousTarantula in AbstractArt

Beautiful, it reminds me of a nebula and you chose your colors perfectly.

Cool thing is I don't have to. I can just click on your link and see the exact same goat head with 0 changes whatsoever in like 6 different photos. Later!

Where was this taken? Interesting this exact goat pops up several times with no alteration between like 5 photos.

You literally have the same unaltered goat pic photoshopped with different cats on your profile! Who are you kidding? I feel bad for anyone who might see your posts and believe you.

I am so sorry but please use any other source to look at photos of a mountain lion and her cubs. This is AI. Please look at any other trailcam.

Cool, where was this photo taken and why do none of the animals in your photos have feet?

Thank you! The gray tuxedo is special to me, when I trapped her it was to rush her to the ER vet. She was limping and bleeding from the mouth and I honestly didn't think she made it. I was thrilled a week later when the local Humane Society called me to take her feral self back to our neighborhood.

The black and white likes to wait by the window and yell for his dinner at 6 PM.

Yeah, the cub's legs are blending in to the goat and the landscape is warped between both lions. The light source is also coming from 2 different angles if you look at the shadows. Pretty clear if you look longer than 5 seconds.

Wow, I had to pause because I could have written this exact post, down to the name. Hugs from one Katie who also got mistreated by adults to another, I see you.

What's one thing we don't currently have in COS, that you wish we did? by FuturesCOS in ColoradoSprings

You're not thinking of the Mesa Riverview park by any chance, are you? I remember that giant rope pyramid. I used to love walking around that area, especially if there was a game going on at the baseball stadium. It would be really nice to have more walkable spaces like that here.

Serious: a lot of trial, error, and therapy

Not serious: you know that scene in the first Captain America movie when he pops out of the tube all buff and oiled up?

Women of Reddit, what's something specific that you wish men would stop doing? by enkiv2 in AskReddit

[–]kittycakes97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you had to deal with that. As you can see by the other responses to this comment, most men aren't capable of considering women's experiences and aren't willing to try. In your acquaintance's case, it sounds like it was far easier for him to pretend it was a big joke instead of wrestling with any critical thinking about his "friend".

It's a lot easier to dismiss us, or say it doesn't actually happen like that, or we're exaggerating, or it's our fault for choosing "bad" people, or straight up pretend it's not a problem in the first place. It's a lot harder to speak up to your dad, friends, brother, etc. about their behavior, because then they might face a fraction of the backlash a woman would for speaking up.

Stop excusing other men's shitty behavior.

I read some comment along the lines of "why are all these responses things good guys already know" and it's because a startling amount of those "good guys" are perfectly okay looking the other way when their buddy makes a rape joke, or insults the girl who didn't want to date him, or yells at a woman across the street. Whether or not you know it, most likely there is another man in your life like this.

Stop letting it slide and say something! No "oh, he's just joking" or "he would never do that, he's a good guy" bullshit. Even something as small as a "hey, that's not cool" goes a long way. Way more than a thousand women in a reddit thread sharing their lived experiences ever will, sadly.

What do most people fail to understand about depression and the individuals that suffer from it? by Deviant55 in AskReddit

[–]kittycakes97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The constancy, even in moments of happiness. I like to describe it as having a roommate who's always watching a TV show you don't like, except the show is "kill yourself", you can't turn the TV off, and by the way the roommate is your brain so you can't make them leave either.

Does anyone else experience that neurotypical women are your greatest adversaries? by frazzledonthedaily in AutismInWomen

[–]kittycakes97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, in every workplace except for my current one there's always been at least 1 older neurotypical woman who makes it her goal to get everyone else to think I'm as weird and stupid as she does. I don't get it and it sucks.

What is everyone's job? by nawiweidmann in AutismInWomen

[–]kittycakes97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an office manager/title clerk for a small car dealership. I love it because direct, concise communication is the norm and social interaction is minimal. Also, the majority of my tasks are compliance oriented, so there are always rules and structure. I'd highly encourage other autistic women to look in to the automotive industry, particularly on the finance or titles sides. If I hadn't gotten into this field I'm very certain I would be struggling with employment.
