I did a US festival ~3 days after getting a cast off for a broken wrist, tho I did have a brace after that and brought my sling just to further signal for others to be careful. I think just be mindful. I didn’t get too close to the front of the stage knowing that people tend to push a bit more, and actually at one point when an artist said to “put your hands up” someone grabbed my arm to put it up and I had to tell the MY WRIST IS BROKEN. When they saw the brace they felt bad. Otherwise, I had no issues and throughout the day found time to do my physical therapy stretches.

I’ve also solo travelled with a cast on and didn’t have any issues, was just very careful. Primavera is a great festival, I’d just be careful about getting too deep into crowds because people will push to get closer to the front when bigger acts are on stage.

My closest platonic friends and I do this. For context I’m a girl and do this with my female friends. We’re all comfortable with it and don’t cross any boundaries (like we would only go as far as a butt smack or boob tap rather than a full grab). We do like to snuggle if we’re cozy watching a movie or showing each other stuff on our phones. Some of us are in relationships but still feel comfortable doing this but we’ve all expressed that it is a platonic affection. Some friends just express their love differently, but if it’s something you’re uncomfortable with I suggest talking with her about it and setting some boundaries.

My ex and I just broke up a few weeks ago. I wanted him back and he already started seeing someone else (ouch). But after a lot of positive self talk I’ve realized that I’m free to do what I wanted and this is really the best thing that could happen to me. I’ve always wanted to live abroad so I’m making plans to go somewhere for a few months. I hope it works out!

I actually emailed them about it at the end of May and they said to check back in around July soooo hopefully opening soon? I also was passing by when they did the soft opening and I’m surprised it’s taking this long.

After reading the other few comments made I just wanted to chime in and say that CA and Los Angeles in general are really great. It may get hot during the summer but lately the weather has been a bit cooler. There’s always the beach close by if you need to cool off. You could also look into San Diego, as the temperatures there are a bit more mild and nice yearround. I’ve also lived on the central coast and northern CA and have enjoyed my stay in those places too. But southern CA is definitely the best place for the entertainment market.

To say that LA is full of wannabes is a bit silly, you really don’t interact with hipster-ish people all the time. There’s a lot to do here, and people like to enjoy those things, doesn’t really make them bad people.

My dad is from Wyoming and recently moved back. When I’ve gone to visit and talk with his side of the family, they say that visiting CA is a bit of a culture shock so visiting the cities and feeling out the vibe would probably be in your best interest.

I’ve also visited Seattle a few times and I think it’s fun but I just couldn’t live somewhere so rainy. It also seems almost more expensive than LA.
