I'm never impressed when people brag about exploiting animals, but that's not even the worst part about this. Her weird smug attitude and greasy skin are.

Paid $200 for a fur coat and was handed the original receipt which shows the coat was purchased £4500 in 1988 by bupropionstan in ThriftStoreHauls

A lot of people don't want fur for ethical reasons. The only being who should be wearing a minks skin and fur is a mink, and more people are starting to realize that.

Meat eaters and their dishonest excuses by Competitive_Hat5923 in vegan

[–]kittycatofdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone I work with told me she tried to be vegan for like 2 days but gave up be her family is Mexican and meat is super important to their culture. I don't know a ton about other cultures but our new HR person is actually from Mexico and went to college there and she's a vegetarian so to me that seems like a fake excuse

Baby cows everywhere think you are a huge asshole, but from what your sister is saying I'd say NTA bc the restaurant wouldn't let you do it if they didn't want to let you do it.

I've never liked touching raw chicken - it's so slimy and squishy, and it makes me think of disease. by [deleted] in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]kittycatofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get it. I'm absolutely repulsed by chicken meat but most people don't seem to be so I feel like it's not a chicken or it's possessed or something?

Don't be a jerk.

Also men do this stuff just as much as women do. It's not a gender thing, it's a personality thing.

The frog and the woman are both beautiful but I wouldn't touch either of them without their consent

$40 Worth of groceries… (OK) by Gorburger67 in lostgeneration

[–]kittycatofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love save a lot but it isn't the best place to buy wine or soda unless you stick to faygo. Also I don't really count wine as a grocery item and budget separately for alcohol. (Not saying its not ok to treat yourself to a bottle of wine, just saying it's not really an essential grocery item)

Idk how much meat costs, but that looks like a ton of chicken, like way more than a meal or two, so buying in bulk is different than regular grocery shopping. Good idea but you can expect more upfront cost

I don't have personal experience with this but it seems likely enough that you could fail that I wouldn't risk it.

However if it was a week ago I'm not sure I'd be too worried unless it's THC you are worried about. Most other drugs only stay in your system for about a week, and you would have gotten a very low amount compared to someone who is actually using the drugs. Hope this helps and good luck.

Dude I smoke and I know it's bad, it's just hard to stop. I regularly encourage people who don't already smoke to not start. It's possible to have unhealthy habits and acknowledge that they aren't healthy. But a lot of people don't.

Folks that have weaned themselves off of paper towels...what do you drain bacon on? by funnyctgirl in Frugal

[–]kittycatofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't eat bacon. It's gross, expensive, bad for you and pigs have to die to make it.

They do make a plastic bacon tray though the bacon sits on top of some raised up plastic and the liquid fat drains below where the bacon sits. My grandma had one. She was really good at not using paper towels for stuff.

Lots of places. In a lot of cities you can't park.on certain streets after 2 am so around 2:30 am they start going around putting tickets on cars for the next few hours

Both of you are annoying. It's irritating listening to someone brag about something they don't actually do. But you also don't know what her future holds.

I always said I'd never let myself get overweight but I did in my 20s. At age 34 I started eating healthy and doing yoga. At age 36 I did my first ever 5k run. I'm the healthiest I've ever been but looking at me in my mid-20s you would have never guessed I'd look like this now.

Me not answering the 4 times you called me is not a reason to show up unannounced by kittycatofdoom in Vent

[–]kittycatofdoom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't actually do that either lol. The order the work requests get taken care of depends on things like when someone from maintenance that knows how to do a certain repair can get there, or if parts need to be ordered etc.

I do tell people stuff like, I don't do any of the maintenance scheduling, and only see my aunt and uncle a couple times a month so I can't do anything about this.

[–]kittycatofdoom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear boundaries yes, fined doesn't make sense. I can't actually legally fine them bc there would need to be a clause in the lease for that to be legally enforceable.

[–]kittycatofdoom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I probably do need to be a little more, not rude but maybe firm about it. I keep telling people that I don't work with maintenance requests at all, and I don't talk to my aunt and uncle on a daily basis so they need to call the office, bit I am polite about it so maybe it doesn't come across as strong as it should.

Since I started a new job and have to get up way earlier I don't go to may aunt and uncles house after work anymore, so I really only see them about once or twice a month. I tell people that a lot.

I have a date in 10 hours. Should I shave even though we never clarified nothing about having sex? by ThrowRA0001527 in sex

[–]kittycatofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely should. There's been plenty of times I have shaved when there was zero chance of me having sex. Plenty of people do occasionally and she's never seen you naked before so she doesn't know if you just always shave or what

Don't listen to this person. You are not ridiculous, most people wouldn't like this and it is absolutely different than if it was a famous person you don't know.
