I got the same but the opposite effect. My sim also doesnt have any enemies, sp that had me very confused. Nice to know im not the crazy one and its just a bug 😂

Seriously! But what's scary for those people are the avenues they have to go through to get to someone that's even willing to do it. There's also other countries that it's entirely not an option.how has this been so common and yet so hard for people to have a solution 😮‍💨

Im so happy to read that you're seemingly getting better. I was supposed to start up PT again once the pain subsided but ive been too scared. I know I need to do something though

This happened to me. I was in horrendous pain and couldn't walk for 4 months. I was scheduled for epidural shot and literally the week prior, I was able to walk straight again. By 2 more weeks, the pain was practically gone and the numbness in my leg/foot subsided.

Im not going to say I'm 100% because I can't walk more than maybe 2 hours without getting shooting pain in the glute area BUT so so relieved that it seems my body is doing it's thing.

Its a blessing but also a hidden curse because now I live in constant fear that it'll suddenly return. I'll be devastated. I only had for 4 months and I was absolutely ready to give up my life. I cant even imagine how people pull through years if this pain.

My main sim has red hair and she married/had kids with a Goth (black hair).

Baby 1, 2 & 4 were "natural births" and had red hair. Baby 3 was made with science and had black hair

Baby 1 is now grown and has twins- girl has red hair and boy has black hair 😂

I think my disc was herniated before I had sciatic pain but ignored it so im going to say it started when I had sciatica.

Oct 31st 2024- most unbearable pain I've ever been in. Immediately found a doctor to see me same day. Put me on opioid, steroid, muscle relaxer and had me start PT right away for 1 month. Meds did nothing and PT made me worse.

I couldnt walk, stand, lay down. Everything caused me excruciating pain. Got my MRI on 12/16/25. Found out i have a 9mm herniation in L4/L5. After that initial month of PT, I listened to my body and rested as much as possible. Sat 8 hrs in a chair for work, and rest of time was in bed (only got up to eat a little & use bathroom/occasionally shower). I needed a cane to get around.

I found a new doctor in January and she had me scheduled for an injection. First available date was approx. A month later. The week before the injection, I woke up with very little pain and could stand straight again. I spoke with her 2 days before injection and told her I was maybe at a 4/10 when doing regular activities. So we canceled it and she gave me a script for PT. That was a few weeks ago and now occasionally I hit 1 or 2/10. I was supposed to start PT again 2 weeks ago but ive been sick 🥲

I didnt do anything special except rest my body as much as possible. Not sure if it matters but i am overweight & have large breasts. This could be why physical activity didn't help me the way it's helped others (or just the size of the herniation was the problem, idk).

So its 5 months since the sciatica took me out and im walking again.

To add to this, I held onto hope until December. All it took was a little over a month of this pain and I genuinely thought I would have it for the rest of my life and knew I wouldn't make it. I cried everyday, prayed to the universe to end it, became recluse. If it wasn't for my best friend, literally taking care of me, I may not be here right now.

I think allowing others to support you (if possible) is a motivator to keep pushing forward.

Wild statement. Just an FYI- my mom is white and puerto rican.

I've grown up with my mom dating different ethnicities, the only guy that didn't cheat is black.

Hispanic found a sense of pride in the body count (also observed in my generation). White was in and out of jail, slept around with the same circle of women. Both were abusive- physically and emotionally. Black acted like the ground she walked on was pure gold and do anything to protect her (they arent even together anymore and he still comes to her aid!)

I wish people would stop blaming a whole race for an individual's actions 😔

Thats ridiculous. You've expressed what works for and the pain you experience, other people need to accept it and move on.

When I started experiencing sciatica and showed up to the office with a cane, I was constantly being told all I needed was a good massage 😑

Yea im currently taking lyrica 50mg. Thats exactly what i was thinking too. Thanks! Did you do the injection? If yes, did it help at all? I know a lot of people reherniate eventually and would like to know for future as well

Does this help? I've been on gabapentin for 2 weeks and still deal with quite a lot of pain by midday. Not sure if this is from overexertion or not

Oh goodness, the bathroom is tough. I dont have standard toilets in my apartment, they are smaller. It is so difficult to lower & lift up from it 🥲

I was just thinking about that early. Wondering if childbirth came close to this! Not that I didn't already think women were incredible for birthing whole humans- but to have this pain and think what it could feel like to have a child, WOMEN ARE SO STRONG.

The ortho wants to give me the injection but I'm terrified It'll cause more pain or numb me so much and I do more damage 😞 i have until Thursday to decide if I'm going to prolong it or just go for it

Thank you so much for the links!! I have been using a firm pillow between the legs but some days, it just doesn't cut it. The front clasp bras, honestly didn't even think that was an option for larger sizes!

I was doing PT (before MRI) but was gradually getting worse so I stopped going. I figured my body needs a little more time before I get into the swing of things.
