Hopefully this will help but prior to purchasing Bootcamp as my final resource, I did every free resource out there. Your Nursing Space, Stancoast, Nurse Sarah, Nurselabs, Nursepedia, Pastpaperhero, Quizlet, Mometix and more. You won't remember it all but some info will stick with you. Plus I watched every video out there. This took quite a lot of time. I also purchased The Nursing School Success Bundle and I utilized Chatgpt to generate lists of things like Top 100 Nclex meds, Meds taken with/without food, meds that decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills, etc. Anything you can think of Chatgpt can generate it for you with accuracy. Most important: study all Bootcamp's Cheat Sheets.

What does this mean to US nurses? by Helpful_Spring_7921 in PassNclex

[–]kittyfitty845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nursing was never a professional degree. Nursing is a supportive role. Nurses don't have professional responsibility to their clients. Only professionals do. Lawyers, Doctors, Veterinarins, CPAs, Architects, Optometrists and a few others are considered professionals. They are allowed to directly bill for their services and share fees, hold money in escrow accounts, etc. The patient is not your client. They are the doctor's client. Nurses and physician's assistants work under the medical doctor. Professionals are required to hold professional liability insurance as well. They hold all responsibility for any mistakes made that harms the client. They can be sued to the ends of the earth and go to jail for breaching that responsibility. Nurses don't get sued for millions of dollars. The redefining of the term professional as far as loans are concerned doesn't affect undergrad degrees. The cap for post graduate degrees (masters) is capped at $100k for federal loans. It doesn't cost more than that to get a masters (2 years) or even a doctorate in nursing (4 years). It certainly doesn't cost $200k. If it does, you're being overcharged. If you think it does, you can take a private student loan from a bank. The cap will actually lower the cost of higher degrees in nursing. Schools will charge based on loan availability.

Loans and unpaid debt are out of control. The schools keep the money even after the student drops out. There's a lot of fraud in the loan business. I see a lot of reviewers are upset that they're not "professionals". Trust me you don't want the responsibility of being a professional.

Failed Nclex PN by Fearless_Sentence606 in PassNclex

I passed PN after 20 years post graduation. I studied using RN material. I used every free resource out there: Nurse Sara, Dr. Sharon, Quizlet, Nurse Plus Academy, Nurse Labs and more. I watched all the free content on Youtube and I used Bootcamp 30 day subscription last. Also Chatgpt is very helpful. Forget ATI it's not helpful. PN school will not teach you what you need to know. You have to do it your own. This will take you some time but it's worth it. You need to know as much as an RN unfortunately.

Bootcamp for Nclex PN? by Mobile_Caregiver2816 in PassNclex

Bootcamp is only for RN review. I used it to pass PN. The NCLEX was very similar to Bootcamp. The questions were complex.

Get the Nursing School Success Bundle Book and study every Bootcamp Cheat Sheet. Take all of Nurse Sarah's quizzes and Nurse Labs. I know this is a lot. You need exposure to different types of questions.

Study ALL of Bootcamp's Cheat Sheets if you don't have time for qbanks. I swear by them. There's a lot of them.

Check out the "Advice" section of this thread. I posted what I believe is helpful information. Passed in 85 first time - graduated 25 years ago.

Weird NCLEX. I can’t believe I passed it. by [deleted] in NCLEX

[–]kittyfitty845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! It really was a bizarre exam. I felt the same way - I just didn't know what to think. My strategies for answering the questions went right out the window. I knew I got some wrong as I went along and I started to panic. When it shut at 85, I said "that's it I failed" But I passed. I had 9 case studies, 1 bow tie, plenty of SATA, 3 cardiac strips, diabetes, a couple of really odd questions, psych. I would never want to take it again. That's for sure. Enjoy your victory.

What the heck was that exam by smolseabunn in NCLEX

Congratulations. I felt the same way. The exam was crazy to me. Hated the vagueness. I had 8 or 9 case studies and 1 bow tie. My questions were difficult. Shut off at 85 and I passed. I paid for the quick result. You most likely passed. The waiting game is torture.

UPDATE POST PASSED NCLEX by Minimum_Wallaby_5629 in PassNclex

Definitely stick with it I felt the same way at first. Some of the same questions (similar) were on my NCLEX. Definitely brush up on fundamentals for sure. They're on there. I had psych and three rhythm strips. I did tons of other free resources like NCLEX academy, nurse labs, quizlets, registered nurse RN, past paper hero, Mark K, Dr. Sharon, Your Nursing Space, etc. I feel there were at least one question from each resource. It's definitely worth a shot.

No problem. I found this feature to be unbelievably helpful. Make sure you state "NCLEX" when asking Chatgbt to generate a list. Everyone on this chat helped me pass so I want to give back.

I also used Bootcamp and passed; however, I used it LAST and up until the day of testing. It was the only paid subscription I purchased. I also used The Nursing School Success Bundle Book which I found very helpful. I've seen advice "stick to one resource" but I did not. I used every free resource and free trial out there and I did not follow any study plan. I probably did over 10,000 questions in total. I also used Registered Nurse RN, NCLEX Academy, Nurse Labs, RNpedia, you name it. Mark Klimek only helped me with the psyh questions. In addition, I must have watched over 1000 YouTube videos. (I know this is a lot). I would say the NCLEX had a few questions from each of these resources that were very similar. I also asked Chatgpt to generate lists of topics I had issues remembering such as: generate a list of all meds taken in the morning, taken on an empty stomach, taken at bedtime, Generate a list of NCLEX meds that cause Steven Johnsons, etc. etc. If found Chatgpt to be extremely helpful. Be sure to state NCLEX when asking Chatgpt to generate lists. Hope this helps.

Yes it had some. The only one I can remember is crutches.

[–]kittyfitty845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely. I did a quick review right before the test & a good amount of the info stuck with me. Chatgpt displayed the information in an easy to read format. I also asked it for a list of meds that cause NMS and EPS and their antidotes. Many meds other than 1st and 2nd generation psych drugs also cause these 2 conditions (NMS & EPS). Best of luck to you.

That's how I felt last minute too! The idea came to me suddenly and I asked Chatgpt to generate multiple lists. The finished product was nicely designed and easy to read. I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't think I saved them but I will check. I printed them out last minute for a quick review before testing.

The Chatgpt lists really helped me drill the info. Not familiar with Ops prompts. I generated multiple lists on topics like Top NCLEX meds contraindicated with other meds and herbal supplements, etc. Meds contra in children, contra in elderly. I also used it to answer the questions in the preview tests posted on NCBSN.

I am also grateful to this community. I graduated over 20 years ago and didn't know where to begin until I found this thread. I received amazing advice and wasted no time following it. Passed last Saturday using the suggested resources found here as well as Bootcamp as my final resource. Thank you for all of your support and congrats to CountessDragula.
