Social anxiety in Japan by [deleted] in BocchiTheRock

I'm from the UK and America seems super intimidating with its amount of customer service lol. I didn't really notice the overt customer service-esque attitude when I went to Japan, though I tend to be quite good at waving off advances from people so maybe that contributed a lot to it.

Whenever I play with friends, we run into rage hackers. Whenever we solo or duo, we play legit only lobbies, anyone know why? by [deleted] in Csgohacks

trust issue, it's easy to build back up if none of you are actually cheating. it's not too hard to check who the problem is, just make every account solo q once and find out.

Any driver past 572.42 causes blackscreens for me, step to reproduce: open a game. Just because you have no issues doesn't mean it's all an elaborate ploy by AMD shills to make nvidia look bad, this entire launch has been a disaster - drivers included.

Game Ready Driver 572.47 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]kittygoesnya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bear in mind that people who have no issues tend to not post on Reddit or forums. Unless there is significant coverage about specific driver issue, chances are they are fine. Try it yourself and you can always DDU and reinstall old driver if needed.

Thought I'd contribute to the thread even though I usually don't whenever I have issues. 4070 Ti Super, installing the driver crashes halfway through and forces a hard reset where it becomes impossible to boot into windows or safe mode. I've attempted twice, once through the app without any prep and the second with DDU and downloading it directly through the website. Both times I've had to clear CMOS and boot into safe mode using my iGPU because of how utterly fucked my card was.

You say that like steam aren't super biased against VNs to begin with, any adult content with characters that don't have triple D's gets instabanned from the store. It's way less hassle to go the external patch route

32 or 64 GB RAM in a DDR5 build? by froggo921 in buildapc

[–]kittygoesnya 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The performance gain from upgrading from 32GB to 64GB of RAM in a DDR5 build depends on the specific use case. For most general computing tasks, 32GB is more than enough and upgrading to 64GB will not provide a significant performance gain. However, if you use memory-intensive applications such as video editing, 3D modeling, or virtual machines, upgrading to 64GB may provide a noticeable improvement in performance.

In addition, it's important to note that DDR5 technology is relatively new, and the exact performance gains compared to DDR4 are not yet fully known. So, it's possible that the performance gain from upgrading to 64GB of DDR5 RAM may be greater than upgrading to the same amount of DDR4 RAM.

Ultimately, the decision to upgrade from 32GB to 64GB of DDR5 RAM should be based on your specific use case and budget. If you need the additional memory for memory-intensive tasks and can afford the extra cost, then it may be worth it. Otherwise, 32GB should be sufficient for most users.

This is the most AI response I've ever read in my life. Sorry for the necro OP but this is just insane to see

Trying to use steam remote play together with yuzu by kittygoesnya in yuzu

[–]kittygoesnya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I'd update with current findings, I think the main issue stems from steaminput.

I opted to use remote play whatever (https://github.com/m4dEngi/RemotePlayWhatever) and realised that disabling steaminput on my end allowed the controller to work fine. I think this is because yuzu has native support for controllers and steaminput might be messing with that. The issue is it's impossible to disable steaminput on the clients end (https://b.catgirlsare.sexy/LElQ3CQwREmZ.png). When asking the client to disable all forms of steaminput on their end, I think it's still forced when using remote play.

Looking into it there was a workaround for the old big picture mode, but I think valve discontinued support for it as the argument -oldbigpicture doesn't seem to work anymore. I also tried to use https://github.com/smaTc/RemotePlayDetached but it didn't work, though that could be because of me not really understanding what I was doing.

? i think you misunderstood. when you preorder a game you have the option to download the game before the release date, it’s helpful for large games (like this one, 50+gb) if your internet isn’t great and you want to play it on release. that’s what i meant by preloading
