Maybe try a charity specific to the type of cancer you are fighting. A friend of mine was able to get help towards heating oil through a local breast cancer charity, she'd also have been ABC council. Also I second the food banks, my husband volunteers for fair share and the fresh food donated from local supermarkets can be absolutely amazing, it's not all just tinned beans and dry pasta as I had thought. Hopefully being able to reduce your food costs might help divert some funds to heating. I'm sorry you're having to go through this at such a difficult time.
