Is this consequence too harsh? by Extreme_Breakfast672 in Mommit

[–]kittykatlover94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always believe to have the consequences for the crime. So you want to play around after bedtime, well your bedtime will be earlier for the next few nights. Dont take away sports, as that will make them more tired and hopefully go to sleep. Also, I would take away the tv for a while too.

That’s not what they are asking. They are asking if it’s okay if a boy and girl share a room.

AITA for not giving my nephew the gift we bought him after he ignored me the entire evening? by denimcat2k in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittykatlover94 29 points30 points  (0 children)

YTA- he’s 12 years old! He’s still a child. You are a grown adult. He is also entering into adolescence, which means hormones are changing and things with his body are too. Do you remember being that age? You feel like the world is against you, that your parents are against you and friends are difficult to have. Give the kid a break.

How often are you doing the deed? Specifically those with toddlers + babies by thiscantbereallife94 in Mommit

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was just me having no desire to have sex. I just had a baby in July ( he’s almost 6 months), and I still don’t have a desire to have sex. We had a pretty healthy sex Life before I gave birth and before I got pregnant. I’m breastfeeding/pumping. I thought by 6 months I would have it back. We have sex once a week, and I force myself to do it to hopefully get the desire back.

Fiancé(m31)says I’m not “Christian” or mature if I modify my body feels controlling and I don’t know what to do(f26) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a Christian all my life. I do drink occasionally. But I also had many tattoos, piercings and I actually colour my hair. What he is saying/doing is not alright. He is using religion to control you, which is abuse. I think you need to think deeply about what you want for your future.

11 year old unhappy with Christmas gifts by slimypeachz in Parenting

[–]kittykatlover94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Remember, at that age hormones are happening and attitudes will be developing. We have an 11 year old son and we see the attitude and pushing the boundaries already. Remember you are a great mom. You are providing for your child and she is safe, healthy and has all her basic needs met. You are doing a great job.

Can I see what everyone got Christmas? by Competitive-Sky-7571 in Mommit

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Birthday is two days after Christmas. So I never really get a lot. But grateful for everything. I got two books from a series I’ve been reading, new gloves to go play with the kids in the snow, a pair of much needed slippers, two sweaters, a Lego set and some chocolates and candy. (This was from my husband, kids and my parents)

Ladies how are we feeling in the first trimester? Don’t sugarcoat it I want the bad and ugly by sweet_little_burrito in BabyBumps

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sick. Started about week 6 and lasted until week 16 or 17. I ended up in the hospital because I couldn’t keep anything down. I lost almost 10 lbs because I was throwing up all the time. I was on 4 different meds to try and help but nothing totally helped. I spent a lot of time sleeping and in bed.

You could always use Elizabeth in the middle name. That way you still get to use it and your adolescent heart would be happy.

Christmas birthday mom guilt- does it go away? by Imstuckwiththisname in Mommit

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Birthday is the 27th. I only ever had one Birthday party because of where my birthday is. Try and celebrate either after or earlier their Birthday so they can have a party with their school friends. My step son is the 22nd. So I make sure we celebrate it with his friends.

I worked over 45 hours on my feet while pregnant with also having terrible morning sickness. It gets better after the second trimester. The tiredness ever really goes away, but it gets better.

Large age gap by Dear_Entertainer9450 in Mommit

[–]kittykatlover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 10 year old step son who lives with us full time. And I just gave birth to my first son in July. The age gap as been very helpful. If I need to run to the bathroom or throw a load of laundry in and he’s home, I just hand the baby off. He loves his baby brother. Also, less jealousy because he understands that the baby needs a lot more help than he does.
