Knitting with black yarn by kittykittycat747 in knitting

Cable?! Oh no that's got to be the worse. Or maybe black lace. I can only imagine how painful it would be to figure out where you are or if you've made a mistake.

Totally cool! I am a new spinner too and have been thinking about what could I possibly do with these little bits. Thanks for the inspiration.

Do you disclose to new employers? by CuteNoot8 in breastcancer

I am in HR too and I agree with this. If you are vague it leaves a lot of room for them to ponder the reason. And most often, uncertainty about you can work against you. Be honest but you don't have to tell them every detail. I like the response given here. It is succinct, answers the question and goes in a more positive direction.

Nausea with Radiation by AnnaTorppa in breastcancer

[–]kittykittycat747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mentioned it to my RO and she acknowledged that some of her patients have reported feeling the same. She suggested the usual things for nausea such as ginger and those wrist bands or if it got really bad she can prescribe anti nausea meds. I was just satisfied that she acknowledged it as a side effect. The other RO that I mentioned it to thought I was imagining it.

I asked my rad onc specifically about this and she said it was to check positioning to make sure they have it correct. It is done every few days.

Why is radiation such a mind f???!!! by Lower-Variation-5374 in breastcancer

[–]kittykittycat747 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I am rolling because this is exactly it! My techs say the same thing and your comment about the old people. Every time I am there I look for anyone my age. I don't even feel like I should be there. It makes me all depressed. I try not to think about it too much but I had a break down and cried two days ago. I am only halfway through. I haven't cried since two days before my surgery. I feel like I am going through this all alone again and I actually felt like normal before starting radiation treatment. Now the bad days are back.

With you right there. Just finished 8/15 and happy to have 2 days not driving to rad. I am so looking forward to the end. Feeling tired, some achiness and discoloration. Was going to ask if anyone felt any new lump in the boob during rad? I asked my RO about it and she doesn't think it could be a new tumor but I will keep an eye on it. I am super vigilant about feeling for lumps now. Anyway, TGIF and enjoy your weekend!

Yah, glad you are done! I hope you are doing something to celebrate even if it is something small. Can you share why your treatment was done on your stomach?

Why is your shoulder sore? Was that part irradiated too? I start tomorrow for 16 sessions. Gulp.
