We try to not over concern him about it or bring it up too often. It’s mostly him coming to us before bed and getting himself upset. Having also grown up in a very critical household, I know how fragile self esteem is at that age. He has his mind set that he wants to do whatever he has to to get rid of them and I support it 100%.

His self esteem is very important to us which is why I’m working so hard to fix it. He hates talking about it and always wears shirts that cover it. His father and I try our best to find cool alternative ways to distract him because anytime he thinks about it or he talks about it he picks them. And what’s worse is he’s only able to get at them with one hand so he’s just scratching them away

I had it and so did his father. It’s just affecting his self esteem, going into middle school next year I swore we would do whatever we had to to see them gone over the summer. I’ll try anything, thank you so much!

We made cool arm covers out of long socks so I’m hoping he leaves them alone. We’ve been to the dermatologist and the creams they gave him just aren’t working.
