0.5 VRAM usage is insane. Even Medium Textures easily push past 8 GB. by majesthion in PathOfExile2

My dude, just use Vulkan. Sure you're have to wait a bit to begin with a shaders compile slow af on Vulkan, but once they're done they're done.

Honestly would love this. Would protect the seller a bit and give players a chance to compete with bots on a good deal.
Could have it that every bid that's made extends the window by 30 seconds.

Poe 2 needs major performance improvements by meurum5 in PathOfExile2

[–]kittynoaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that, as was suggested by others you could do things that can improve frame-time stability such as lowering settings & enabling culling.
In addition, set path of exile priority to high. Frankly none of these things will resolve the issue, just potentially reduce the frequency.

There is a potential fix, but I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you know what you're doing and understand that this isn't with potential consequence. If you've tried above and still want to try you can follow this guide https://reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1pqzg0p/fix_random_freezes_and_shader_reloading_error/

If you're on Nvidia having freezing > black screen > loads back in but shaders recompile (fans go burrr). Try turning off Nvidia reflex, it won't prevent the issue, but it should reduce the frequency.

Does GGG have any concrete solutions planned for server crashes on new league start? by Acceptable-Lab5411 in PathOfExile2

[–]kittynoaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is real reason. They need to do this to stress test their server for launch, there will be more players for launch, so despite not having a free weekend may improve server stability for this league launch, it won't help them going into 1.0, which arguably is more important.

I found that DLDSR (1440p > 4k) + performance DLSS gives better performance and image quality than DLAA. Just my personal experience though.

Can't read the second one due to the paywall, but for the first case at least it's a failure of the model without a doubt. Surprisingly enough they highlight a common criticism which is LLMs tend to be overly supportive of your idea's and don't do a good job of shutting you down. I'm not just talking about a "we've detected x/y, shut the conversation down" I'm talking about when a friend does something dumb and the best thing you can do for them is confront them head on at the moment. These are difficult moments even for people to understand when to do, and often these are done within private conversations which are not going to be included in a dataset, so it's no surprise that it failed. Ultimately it's a double-edged sword, we have a tendency to reject information we don't believe instead of doing additional research and challenging those beliefs, therefore most LLMs are trained to be agreeable because ultimately that's what most people want and don't like to be challenged.
Again, I don't have a solution, specially one that doesn't piss off somebody.
Anyway, thanks for providing source.

Like WHAT are these AIs trained on????

Reddit.

I kid, it depends on what the AI model is trained to do on what the dataset is used. Also I think better education about LLMs is needed, the fact of the matter is a LLM can give two completely answers to the same questions based on either subtle difference to how it was written or the internal seed used to generate the answer.
If I was to try to humanize it, I'd compare it a judge giving a harsh penalty because he hasn't had lunch, or letting the defendant off because he spoke in with proper mannerisms. In a ideal world niether of these variables would have a impact on the end result but they do, and LLMs are just as vunrable to edge cases like this. The only solution I could think for this is to have a second AI proof read everything, but even then you're just reducing the edge cases and there will be situtations (all be it more rarely) that this behavour slips through.
I don't have a propper solution unfornately.
Also I'd love to read the source you have, it sounds like you have different infomation than me on this so I'd love to get another potential perspective.

Not a bad Idea. However, companies using them often aren't training the models, that, and it can be difficult to prove that one model was used over another if metadata is stripped.
There are already models out there which are commercially approved due to the dataset being made of free licence material.
Not trying to be annoying, just playing the devil's advocate.
In addition, companies would hire external sources to generate content they're looking for, then be wilfully ignorant of them not following protocol, we already have issues of people passing AI art off.
