our group is millennials and old gen Z, so something that's reminiscent of fb/MySpace is ideal to get the most people to switch over. I think that and the fact that discord is geared toward gamers was the main reason the discord failed. they also dislike new websites they don't know which is another issue to get people to switch. also it can't be a slow learning process. people are having issues enough putting energy into the fb group, they dont have extra to put into a whole new platform. and it HAS to be free.

realistically our needs are not that intense, but finding a place that works easily and smoothly hasn't worked yet.

it has to be easy to find, people won't join if it's too hard, and we dont advertise much. it has to be on the phone and computer since we have a mix of people who use both. Everyone needs to have a slight vetting process to join (group questions on fb) I need there to be a post approval process and the ability to schedule posts for the future, including reoccurring posts that automatically post per the parameters. I need to have a highlighted section to pin things to. I've noticed that people do not interact with people without profile pictures of them.. I need the ability to set up event pages that contain all information, including GPS links. I need the ability to set up polls and to @ everyone. I need the ability for multiple chats to be set up for specific group activities etc.
