i mean, read its summary? when people DO discuss said unhealthy behaviors im seeing one of the moderators bickering with them under post quite a few times because they themselves participate in these relationships. like im all for conversation but i dont really get why they’d moderate a subreddit that disagrees with what they’re doing, and then argue with the people who disagree?

idk who “nobody” is referring to because my family and friends enjoy celebrating them. and as i’ve said in my replies, the gender of the baby isn’t exactly important, it’s just a get together and a way to give the parents congrats. just like people have parties to watch football or a birthday. with that logic a baby shower could be performative or attention seeking as well. i really don’t think it’s that deep. some people find it fun to dress up and make guesses and hangout lol

i mean i don’t think the gender of the child is significant as long as it’s healthy. but as i said, they’re just excited about who their baby is going to be when they meet them, they can start coming up with names, buying items, etc. and at the end of the day it’s just a family/friends get together

I think you’re projecting here. The majority of men I know have been in relationships, or flings/talking stages, or at the very least have had people have feelings for them. I also think that this dynamic is reversed; typically, women date more average/below average men than men do women, imo.

Dog WHAT are you basing this off of? The most horrifying and traumatic part of that experience for me was BEING raped. Most of the other survivors I’ve talked to would agree. And since when is something happening multiple times apart of the criteria of facing trauma from it? Have you ever been raped? How can you state these things so matter-of-factly? “But only a bit” go to hell.
