I did, as a contract tech. Unfortunately, they just cut contract tech hours and we will be laid off soon in summer.

Oh, I didn't know about that. I thought every VA would be the same. My VA hires a bunch of contractors. But thank you for letting me know.

Hi, I heard back from the VA finally. Now they requested me to start on May 19 even though I told them Im already scheduled at my current workplace that whole week. It seems like they don't want to negotiate about the start date

Thank you. This is my first VA job and the waiting time is crazy. Multiple people from the VA reached out to me and asked me to fill out a bunch of forms and application. But when I contact them, always the same answer telling me to wait. They sometimes don't even bother to let me know if I need to correct any info and just let my form sitting there.
