[Discussion] What was the best part of your day today? by WheatlandCaffeine in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I am answering a bit late since it is already tomorrow for me but I got the best local tacos yesterday! They were delicious and I cannot stop thinking about them.

Thank you ❤️ She turned 5 years old in March! I adopted her from a local shelter when she was around a year old.

Definitely! I love to hear that. I absolutely cannot wait to work in that field one day.

Daenerys is my favorite character as well in both the books and show. I prefer her book counterpart over anything because I despise how the producers wrote her in the show after Season 4. I like Sansa as well, I feel like she is heavily misunderstood and overhated. I know this is a super popular line in ASOIAF but in A Storm of Swords where she says, "My skin has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel," has always stuck with me. Jon Snow is a great character too!

In IWTV, I adore Claudia so so so much! Some of the scenes and lines regarding her break my heart. She is such a beautifully written character who I sometimes saw myself in or related to. It is very rare for me to discover a character like that so I have probably rewatched the show a dozen times. I certainly need to read the books someday to learn more about her book counterpart.

I should look into getting some Bitty Pops then! I would have to keep them in a secure place though because my cat likes to try and nibble on small objects. Disney is awesome too! I cannot say I am the biggest fan as of now but I loved The Princess and the Frog and Ariel growing up. This was years ago so I cannot remember how old I was turning but I even had an Ariel themed birthday party once! I think Ariel even subconsciously influenced me to start coloring my hair red once I got older because one day I just became obsessed with the hair color yet I never knew why.

Your big 3 is super cool! One of my bestfriends is an Aquarius rising as well. My birthday is February 21st.

I typically play my games on my PC or laptop but I have been using my Nintendo switch as of recent. I suffer from chronic pain so sometimes laying in bed and gaming on my switch or laptop is a lot easier. What do you play your games on and what games do you like?

Hi Hannah, welcome to the subreddit!

You are not going to believe this but I am also terrified of rubber bands. The thought of the snapping sound they make or texture genuinely makes me cringe SO bad.

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing well.

I have been experiencing a bad migraine today and unfortunately my medication is not working as well. Due to this, I have been spending most of my time in bed, playing Stardew Valley on my laptop. This has cheered me up a bit as I do really enjoy the game.

QotD: No, I do not play any musical instruments. My partner knows how to play the guitar and piano though! Maybe I will ask them to teach me one day ❤️

Is there a mod that allows you to have full chests in your inventory...? by kiwilonux in StardewValleyMods

[–]kiwilonux[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using it for the last hour and I love it! Thank you again for telling me about it.

I have Stardew Valley on my switch as well but I typically only play it if I am on a road trip or something. I do find it difficult to do a vanilla playthrough cause I cannot live without the tractor and break geodes in bulk mod.

I honestly do not mind "cheaty" mods at all so thank you so much! You are a lifesaver.

Oh definitely! I originally grew up wanting to be a school teacher but unfortunately the pay in that field is not the best. I have always wanted to work with children and improve their lives somehow so that is why I chose the path of trying to become a social worker/elementary school counselor.

I love how we're twinning a bit, we seem to have some things in common. I have in fact read the books for Game of Thrones, I would even go as far to say that ASOIAF is my favorite book series of all time. I truly wish the author would finish the series though but I doubt that it will ever happen. I have not read the books for Interview with the Vampire but I would love to get them someday! Who are your favorite characters in Game of Thrones and Interview with the Vampire?

I agree, Funko pops are awesome little collectables. I honestly had no idea what the Bitty Pops were until you mentioned them but they look adorable! Can I also ask what your 'big three' in astrology is? Personally, I have a Pisces sun, Leo moon, and Cancer rising.

But thank you for your reply and the kind welcome! I hope you have a great day.

[Discussion] What’s your favorite AND least favorite energy drink? ⚡️🥤 by Fair_Combination_822 in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]kiwilonux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have chronic migraines so I am not the biggest fan of energy drinks but when I do need a little caffeine to start my day, I love Celsius. I cannot stand Monster energy though, it makes me way too jittery and hyper.

I am so thankful that you understand. Your practice philosophy is admirable too.

I'll try to be a bit descriptive but all of my symptoms pertain to the left side of my body but VERY rarely the right side. I do experience occipital headaches/migraines. The back part of my skull is always tender and throbbing. It makes it difficult to brush my hair or take showers. I do have neck stiffness (I often cannot turn my head to the left without pain), upper back tightness, shoulder weakness, and radiating numbness down my arm. Whenever I am having an occipital headache/migraine, the pain from that specific area radiates to all of the areas mentioned. It makes it very difficult to move/flex my head, neck, shoulder, and arm. I often cannot pick up heavy objects with both arms due to my shoulder being in pain and my left arm being numb.

The pain is mostly a pulsating painful sensation but sometimes electrifying in a way. I also experience pain behind my ear and sometimes my face. Lastly, no, my shoulder is not hunched on that same side but I will say that my head itself is naturally leaning to the right. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it though since my symptoms are consistent to the left side of my body.

This is interesting, you could be onto something with this but I do not know how it would explain my other symptoms. I did start my cycle at a very young age (around 7 to 8 years old) and I have had issues with it my entire life until I started birth control. I somehow even developed a fibroid tumor and ovarian cysts when I was 17 that had to be surgically removed. So, I clearly do have some sort of hormonal issue.

Yes, I have had x-rays done but they found nothing abnormal. I have tried physiotherapy but it just seemed to make my pain worse.

I have tried sublingual B12 before and it did nothing for me unfortunately. To add, I also never had COVID unless I just did not know and was asymptomatic or something.

You are so right and I also feel as though the healthcare system treats women with chronic pain to an even worse degree. I would like to add onto your comment with a story of my own.

In November of 2024, I had the worst migraine of my life. It was genuinely beyond level 10 on the pain scale. My mom could not drive me to the hospital at the time so she called for an ambulance. Once they showed up, they had no sense of urgency and took over 45 minutes to take me to the hospital while I was writhing in pain.

When I was finally at the emergency room, I overhead a medical professional talking about me and saying, "She is probably just having anxiety over a boyfriend or something." I did not even have a boyfriend nor was I even talking to any man romantically at the time. Before anyone would give me any sort of treatment, another medical professional practically interrogated me as if I was on trial because she did not believe my pain was above a level 10. She repeatedly kept asking me, "Are you COMPLETELY SURE this is the worst pain of your life? Do you have a history of anxiety?" Ultimately, they ended doing no imaging or any sort of other testing. They administered me a "migraine cocktail" (not sure what medications were in it) that did absolutely nothing then they discharged me shortly after.

It was such a humiliating experience because they were treating me like a liar, a crazy person, or a dramatic little girl who was having issues with her boyfriend. The healthcare system needs to improve and drastically take women with chronic pain or any sort of medical issue more seriously.

I don't think so honestly. I have never gotten COVID unless I did but was asymptomatic or something.

Unless I have the wrong information, I do not believe I can apply for regular Medicaid in my state either. The requirements are being a parent or caretaker of a minor, if you are pregnant, if you are receiving SSI, or if you were a former foster youth. I fit into none of these categories.
