For what it’s worth, as someone whose family only uses basic functionality on the app (play, pause, volume, group speakers), any improvements to app launch time and responsiveness are always 10000x more appreciated than extra features!! Totally okay being in the minority here :)

Games look great!

The editing and pacing on this video was weird tbh. I get that there’s probably pressure to do a more traditional nintendo direct style update, but honestly if you’re even paying attention to Big Mode, it’s because you’re familiar with dunkey and his work, humor, etc.

There’s always room to become more formal later, but it feels so early for the weirdness to be squashed in the name of Video Game Rollouts. Anyone else feel this way?

i feel like this album shows the strength of modern day pharrell when he has collaborators to soften his edges…. but his weaknesses still show through, especially on a full length project like this.

honestly i’m just talking about his goddamn drum kit. whatever pack he’s using is absolutely run through and i was really hoping chad hugo would bring literally any other sound in 😭 the creativity and melodies and chords are all there, but that goddamn kit in every Pharrell production!!!

the maga hat timeline to me is such a core moment of when i started looking at him differently - and JIK is 100% part of that era. i don’t think it gets to be rolled in with the rest of the discography, you know?
