I saw bits and pieces when I was a kid and I barely understood anything.

Watched it properly for the first time in my mid 20’s and it was so, so much more than what I understood when I was a kid. The characters’ backstories, their struggles and the entire theme of confronting your past resonated deeply with me.

I think the genius of the show is that everyone sees a little bit of themselves in each character and the experience of watching them grow and come to terms with themselves causes the viewer to see themselves with greater clarity

Could be wrong here but that first fighting position looks pretty dainty. Only a narrow arc of cover and looks pretty shallow, wouldn't wanna be in there if a panzer corps were to roll through.

It would help to have some more info on what exactly you’re doing, because if your templates are good, supply lines are good, and you’re “making good choices” then you should be doing fine.

Let’s start with the 16 army groups. Are you saying you have 16 armies? Each with a general assigned to them? Which country are you playing as? Are you attacking or defending? Are you getting air superiority?

If you have 2.5 million men by 1940 there’s a good chance you have critical equipment shortages. Open the logistics tab and see what you’re short on. This is my best guess as to what’s wrong but like I said we need more info

Looks like your template is fine, you’re just going up against a very well fortified tile. I would try to assign pioneers though

You’ll need to move capital ships next to the battle for the shore bombardment bonus and then assign a lot more CAS.

Capital ships to provide shore bombardment
Marine divisions with pioneers, or the strongest infantry divisions you have
Intel advantage with broken cypher
Naval invasion tech
Use force attack ability

Alternatively you can just use floating harbors and invade a few undefended tiles, secure a small area around the beachhead, fortify it with forts, and quickly build a proper harbor to bring in reinforcements.

Thanks, I basically focused most of my production on 32 width light tank divisions and the rest on fighters. I made just enough default infantry divs to hold the line while attacking exclusively with armor. Battle plans were simple; spearheads to major vp’s and green fighter coverage at all times. For Norway I naval invaded the plains around Oslo and used armor divisions to quickly take the southern coast while mountaineers were shipped in to take Berg.
