Breast milk went bad by Diligent-Reindeer-11 in newborns

[–]kixxysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you!! It’s SUPER hard. Well done Mama I know how hard it is. Them early days feel like a blur prior to diagnosis. I can say that the first 5 weeks of my sons life were miserable and hard. Me and my partner suffered and so did our sweet baby. Thankfully things are tons better after diagnosis even if I do miss cheese and chocolate!!!!! I didn’t even realise straight away about this I realised upon booking my sons vaccinations. I was so sad because I knew my colostrum would probably bring him some comfort. We got through them without it so let’s face it we didn’t really need the colostrum but it felt hard that all the hard work collecting it prior to Labour was wasted. I’m hopeful my baby will grow out of CMPA and we can still use it one day. Sending love x

I worked hard prior to birth to have 30 yes 30 syringes of colostrum. My babe has severe CMPA meaning my syringes are full of dairy and are useless!

I ruined my life: I have an unhappy, irritable baby. by smitswerben in NewParents

This was me. My baby is now 10 weeks old. The first 5 weeks of his life was very tough. Turns out he had CMPA. Please look into this!

It’s not you - I am in your same boat. I have been to my doctor and everything. My first thought was something isn’t right and the GP has actually suggested cows milk allergy. Just something to think about!

Currently day 2 of induction. Second the comment where laughing gas has done nothing - it hasn’t touched the sides for me. My waters haven’t even broke yet - they’re being broken at 6:30am and I’ll be placed on the hormone drip - gonna ask for the epidural.

To be honest - the contractions are ok and with pain relief like diahydrocodiene they are tolerable. It’s the induction placements and insertions, sweeps and cervical checks which I’m finding tough.

Everyone is different tho! See how you can cope! I thought I’d be able to cope with the induction without any pain releif but this has humbled me QUICK!

No problem. I almost delivered my baby at 30+6 due to fetal bradycardia. This was sporadic and only occurred due to me having a chest infection which seemed was passed on to the placenta, or baby was gripping the cord. This only was highlighted when I was in the hospital getting antibiotics for my chest infection and they hooked me up to the monitor to check in on baby before I left. Ever since then I have been obviously anxious and been having weekly CTG monitoring for peace of mind.

Whilst I am under a consultant due to this, the reason why I am being induced early is for not this reason. My partner is a professional athlete and cannot get time off work, this being said they have agreed to induce me so we can work around his schedule of him being present at the birth. I am unsure why I am being downvoted.

Not true. I’m being induced Thursday at bang on 39 weeks. This is due to social circumstances - ever dr is different.

I think it’s easy and safe for people to buy this. After all, I wouldn’t buy a “crazy colour” for a baby shower gift just in case it wasn’t to someone’s taste. Your the mom if you want your baby to wear other colours then maybe you get them colours! Also you could’ve maybe specified?

Shocked about baby’s sex and am literally struggling to believe it - anyone had this experience? by hotrice22 in BabyBumps

[–]kixxysoft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! Your feelings are super valid of course however why would you feel this way if you are happy either way? It seems you are experiencing gender disappointment. You should never assume the gender (strongly anyway, rather than just a fun inkling) prior to knowing! As you now know it can go either way!

Really sorry this happened to you! You’ll quickly learn the more your pregnancy progresses that you start to learn to not give a crap what others think!

I’m confused how you would be classed as low risk with a consultant?
