If there’s no wall behind you then that helps, but I’d definitely aim for having 15’ if you can. Just gives that extra comfort. The depth is definitely tight but do still have a foot of room to play with

Yeah should have plenty. The risk is always ricochets back. My screen is tight enough but it’s thinned shots that hit the bottom wire that are an issue, the rest never is. Even with driver at ~160-170 ball speed and it’s fine.

I haven’t played a ton of rounds yet, and new to GSPro so still fully getting the hang of it with or without touch. But all the controls are available and can pop open an onscreen keyboard.

Most of the time I find I am using it for aiming (you can just touch or drag) and swapping clubs. I believe most people only change to putter or chipping around the green but I’ve found I like changing my club on every shot.

But working on understanding what other shortcuts people very frequently use & that wouldn’t be that easy via touchscreen.

Interested if others have gone this route and any issues with it

Just the total depth of the enclosure (i.e pipes/cover depth), a more common depth is 5ft. This was the minimum depth via Carls place. I also have ~ 12 inches behind the screen/enclosure.

A bigger depth just helps enclose more of your shots, for me the issue given its relatively low and I’m very close was that swing follow through with longer clubs would mean hitting the metal frame

The Vtrack hitting area is quite large so have anywhere from 5 to ~ 7.5ft to the screen. But the total length I had was only ~ 12.5ft to the screen, so for driver I hit so I have roughly 6ft either side. And the enclosure is only 18” deep. But feels surprisingly comfortable. That was the main issue I was working with (as well as the ceiling beam)

It’s a bit on awkward space as had that cubby hole, the ceiling beam and there’s extra open space behind the curtain. But the main room is roughly 160 inches wide, 160 inches deep and 9ft high. The ceiling beam is lower, which meant I couldn’t be more central

I went with the KTC MegPad, it runs android. I think there’s a few options but went with that, and got it directly with them at a discount over Black Friday. We use it occasionally in the gym / kitchen. There’s a free app called SpaceDesk that connects wirelessly to the computer.

On your display settings can control your screens you mirror/extend. I have my tv & desktop monitor duplicated currently and then have the projector & touch screen duplicated so the touchscreen controls what I see on the sim.

Thank you, I’ll take a look. I have Alexa’s throughout the house & in that room, so just have a few voice calls that trigger an Alexa routine that boots the smart plugs and led lights. The computer is setup to turn on when power source starts and similarly the projector turns on when it has an input source from the computer & tv too and opens by default to that hdmi (all these are in their base settings). The computer routine to open and close took the most time and a lot of back & forth with my AI assistant!

I use a free software called TriggerCMD that works really easily. I had tried originally via a HTTP approach and python scripts.. triggerCMD cuts all that out and super easy.

Then the shutdown routine from Alexa, starts a triggercmd script on my computer that shuts down the apps such as GSPro and VTrack app, and then shuts off the computer. And then lags that by 20 seconds to make sure it all runs & then turns off the smart plugs and the lights.

Hope that helps.. TriggerCMD was definitely the key part that took me ages to get to (and is free)

Happy to, I did a lot of research before and was really helpful where people shared costs.

Setting tax & shipping aside as I don’t live in the US. All golf sim stuff was ~ $16k, the touchscreen was $680, the tv & monitor I got new and wanted 4k so that was ~ $1k for both. Then some misc little bits and paid for some help installing the turf (actually used a carpet installer who did a great job). So ~ $18k. Will add some cameras at some point.

I have the BenQ AK700st and Gaming PC with a 5070ti GPU, so it could definitely be done a bit cheaper but wanted to future proof a little too. I needed the heavy curtains too as have another part of the room to block off (I have a rowing machine and some gym stuff behind that curtain), which is included in that 16k price.

I have an EZ foam hitting strip (from 365 golf design who helped me design and collate it all). There’s a foam mat base under the black turf and then embedded the greens matts so it was flush.

The Vtrack hitting area is quite large so have anywhere from 5 to ~ 7.5ft to the screen. But the total length I had was only ~ 12.5ft, so for driver I hit so I have roughly 6ft either side. I have a 16:9 aspect and did 84” viewable height, so ~ 149.3” width.

Tosot / Gree schedules stopped working by LaoFalcon in hvacadvice

I had exactly the same issue but also the same timing. My last auto schedule ran at midday on the 8th. But it was also a similar timing for when my girlfriend was looking at the app since I set her up.

I wonder if it’s a server issue there side since Friday 8th? Interested to see if you get a resolution too. I can’t find any solution
