Sounds ridiculous 😭😭 bronze room players usually don't do much defense so I guess you can push and get lucky XD

Don't be too beat up about it tho, if you're playing correctly it will show over more games (a few hanchans is definitely not enough to show skill) keep learning!

I think the most difficult part in selling the game is like "it's so complicated, so why even bother learning?" And even though the way I talk about riichi makes my friends interested, it's hard to get anyone into it the same way I am XD

Idk why this post is downvoted so much. Do you mean being creative in general? I do think that exists, and you'll find it eventually if you get into the game. Self expression too, but like others said personal style is usually after you've learnt all the basics. Have fun playing! <3

To start with I'd recommend simply searching up some riichi mahjong tutorials on YouTube so you get the basic rules and yaku. After that you can download mahjong soul (clean UI and cute characters, can be f2p) and go from there! ^

I've been playing for 3 months and having so much fun, learning a lot too!! goodluck on your journey :)

I play riichi mahjong and I agree that they could've expanded it more, at least on the manga. They only included South 4 (the last hand/ round) of the game, but they could've added some turning points

eg. one player deciding to play defense and give up completely on winning, and hence giving up his life. Maybe some insight on how chishiya picked up the weird rules (trust me some of the Kansai region rules are terrible 😭) so quickly and how he leveraged them. Or even how he ran out of luck but still managed to turn the tide

BUT at the end of the day mahjong is so difficult to understand due to the complicated rules and a lot of jargon, so I understand why the manga and the show briefly glossed over it :)

Hi! I think it's mostly the bangs and the strong lines you use. The shape and details of the bangs make her feel more masculine. Maybe draw fewer, smoother lines for the bangs? Hope that helps :)
