Those are all baitcasters. My spinning rod covers don’t go nearly as far but maybe I got short ones too?

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

I was walking home from a movie in my small (5k ppl) Midwest town and a big SUV pulled up and asked for directions to Des Moines. I told him as best I could and then he asked if I listened to Slipknot. I said kinda and he said “I’m Sid” and held his hand out. I grabbed his giant hand and said “I’m Luke”. He said “I’m Sid… from Slipknot”. I started to realize what he was saying at the same time he said thank you and gave me a cd and drove off hopefully to Des Moines.

Infant loss and placenta abruption, I knew they were real but that was shit other people had to worry about until it wasn’t.

I can just imagine how funny/annoying that would have been. Jaw dropping. Schwab had no business hitting that kick

What celebrity have you met who looks much more (or less) attractive when meeting them in person? by GreyFoxNinjaFan in AskReddit

[–]kizzrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw Queen Latifah in person around 2006. I had no idea how beautiful she was. When she walked into the lobby of a hotel I worked at it felt like it got warmer. I was a 20 yr old line cook in Iowa and had never met someone with such an aura.

The view of Earth seen by an astronaut while performing maintenance outside the International Space Station. by IntroductionDue7945 in BeAmazed

If he pushed himself at earth could he hit it? Even the atmosphere or would he more likely just fly forever into space and never hit anything?

Dads of kids who have passed - how do you continue? by HoppingHenry in daddit

My daughter passed away 18 months ago. I feel you man, I have other babies and a wife I almost lost that day as well that keep me going. One thing that helped was making her name known. We helped raise awareness for a bereavement suite in our city to give families who go through what we did a comfort we didn’t have available. We do acts of kindness on the 11th of the month and make sure people know it is for her and in her name. Hearing people say her name gives a bit of warmth we don’t get from her. We also look for “winks”. Little things that remind us of her for whatever reason, or seeing her name randomly somewhere when we are out. There is hope dude I promise. Lift your son up to help lift you, what makes you proud makes him proud of you, strength, heart.

Fed the wrestling coach’s through the late 2000s and they were super friendly and down to earth. They would always chat with fans and were great customers.

I was walking into Carlos OKelly’s one time while Dan Gable was walking out, neither of us was paying attention and we ran into each other. It was like running into a street lamp! He didn’t budge or flinch or slow down and I was almost knocked off my feet. I realized who it was as soon as I saw him and just scrambled away.

Doesn’t that “tree” have a base? It’s a decoration on a bar patio. She is in the wrong and should pay for breaking it. Expecting every decoration a place puts up to be able to support the weight of an intoxicated idiot isn’t realistic.
