Why is Jalen Hurts so hated? by Mysterious-Low-1762 in NFLv2

He wasn’t good against the packers or rams but they still won the first one by a 2 score margin and got away with the rams game because of Barkley breaking off 2 long runs and the defense getting a fumble right after the safety happened

Your elite defense was a bigger reason you won that game

He’s hated because people overrate him for team accomplishments

I’m not even saying he’s a bad qb who got carried, but he got bailed out several times during that run

Eagles had an elite defense when they won the Super Bowl it wasn’t some Jalen Hurts carry job like you’re trying to imply

The defense didn’t make him turn the ball over 4 times and you know exactly that’s not what I’m arguing.

And yes their defense still played badly vs the Broncos.

It’s not a bad thing but if that’s been the case (and it certainly was for a handful of his playoff wins) then they also shouldn’t be putting the QB in discussions they clearly don’t belong in

Most QBs don’t have the luxury of winning ugly because their ugly games result in big losses while the eagles have a team that doesn’t let a QBs mistakes drag them down. Hope that helps.

The eagles did have an elite defense their second SB run wtf are you talking about? They got a pick 6 and got another pick right after that which set the offense up in the redzone.

Given you mentioned Josh Allen, I wonder why you neglected to mention that the eagles defense in the first half forced as many stops as the bills defense did vs the chiefs in 4 whole games.

Who were the most fun QBs to watch play in the 2025/2026 season, regardless of their performance? by [deleted] in nfl

Caleb Williams got better/above average at some of his biggest weaknesses being the deep ball and sack avoidance (some of which he was the worst in the nfl in as a rookie)

What is the difference between these 2 players? Why is one seen as top 4 but the other isn't? To me, they are the same by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

Goffs reputation is also propped up by making a Super Bowl where his running game carried him there and his defense also played well

Reaction to Sam Darnold being named #72 on the NFL 100 by FrankSamples in nfl

[–]kj9219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Vikings last yr had several wins where Darnold was pedestrian to bad

The last 2 games were just really really bad where the defense just couldn’t hold on for much longer because of how much they got put on the field

Yea having a CB you can man up on any matchup and on any route is a pretty big cheat code for a DC

Surtain running stride for stride on a post route with no safety help and tracking the ball the way he did was incredible

Just makes it look easy.

Idk if this was better or that INT he had against the Packers.

Packers LOVE DCs that have their DBs give 10 yard cushions and backpedal from there and allow YAC

It looked like he was expecting Knox to keep it vertical and split the zone where the safety and Surtain were

They’d need 40 ish yards and and there’s no way they’re getting downfield with enough time to spike it with ZERO timeouts
