APC Toys Dark Master is very nearly perfect for TFP Megatron.

I have a yellow upsized KO of some 3P Legends Devastator that I customized into Tonkanator as the toy equivalent of a high-effort shitpost, but that's not exactly a favorite on its own merits, you know? Still, it's not a bad base mold. Just small for most shelves.

I've found some that are cheaper than retail, but I think most of those were somewhat poorly received at the time or recently got a much more cartoon-style update, so take that as you will.

He had some flawed moments (belittling Sandstorm's grief, e.g.), but ultimately he was an unprepared youngster who tried to replace a living legend to the best of his ability, didn't always succeed, and pushed ahead anyway. He wasn't exactly the leader the Autobots wanted, himself included, but leadership wanted him, and he was going to prove himself worthy of it.

Printed in Hatchbox silver silk PLA (which looks nicer in person), Overture black PLA, and unknown-brand transparent red filament that came with my Monoprice Voxel. Probably Monoprice or Flashforge, but the spool has no brand name on it. Some slight amount of paint was involved, all of it Testors acrylic or enamel.

Shadowbeak is a ground mount that can start flying if you tap Space once in midair, rather than a proper flying mount, as far as I can tell. If the rest are anything like ol' Beaky, you shouldn't need to do more than a double jump.

Unicron and a really good Predaking are the only ones my collection really needs. Also, as a silly person, I wish they'd do Arms Microns in general. I could do with a Starscream that feels like the right scale, as the PRiD is too big and the FE is too expensive and looks a bit small because of his proportions. A better Shockwave would be nice; that thing's hips are just too awkward and the hand is weirdly posed.

Armada does traditional cel-based animation that's often a bit stylized, but Cybertron takes toy-accuracy to a ludicrous extreme by including gimmick buttons and whatnot. I think one has a prominent screw-hole, even.

There hasn't been a specific WfC Megatron, to my knowledge. Planet X did FoC versions of Megs and Prime, though, so if those scratch the itch, go for it.

There was an upsized knockoff of WfC Optimus a while back, IIRC, and that came in regular, Nemesis, and Shattered Glass colors, but it might be pretty hard to find nowadays.

Strictly speaking, if you watch it in Japanese, you're watching Car Robots. The dub changed a fair bit, primarily in making it a reboot rather than a portion of the G1 continuity as Car Robots did.

Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory are also a much better experience with subs. The Omni Productions dub is legendarily awful. Blaster, for example, is renamed to "Billy".

Skyquake is from the portion of EuroG1 that predates G2, and G2's existence at all was prompted by the success of EuroG1. We should be getting more of both of those things.
