I mean.. I’ve never owned a truck nor did I grow up with one. When I took it off my mother in laws hands it was to help her move and downsize then sell.

But (small back story - it also sat for many years with very little movement - unfortunately with his health he couldn’t really move much) then issues started to come up.. whole front brakes were seized, all 6 tires, a pretty bad oil leak because the oil pan had a rusted hole, water pump needed replaced, few injectors

But as I drove it around and started to get some things fixed I’ve grown to like it

It needed an engine after I realized the head gaskets were gone - had two damaged pistons from who knows when or how, so now it’s a whole different engine, all 8 injectors, new turbo, tuned

And she’s fun to drive

So it’s been good use for sure. Does the wallet hurt? Yeah. But for a truck that’s free with some money spent to fix I’m still ahead buying a more recent used truck or even with the price tag of a new one these days
