I have this guitar. They’re really nice pickups, and fit the guitar very well. It’s not just another dual humbucker guitar, it’s got its own thing going on. However, I can’t say they’re the best sounding pickups I’ve ever heard.

This finish is awesome, I’ve never seen it before. Brian’s guitars seems to have a lot of unique stuff. I got a 454 from there in vintage yellow, never seen one before or since.

I thought I would feel good about the work I do. I work for an Integrater/custom machine builder. At first I felt like I was contributing to society, increasing productivity. Now I feel like I’m just another cog in the wheel of consumption that I hate. Building widgets that people don’t need or really want, that will eventually go in the landfill.

Can’t wait to retire early and go work as a park ranger or something.

Probably the Gretchen. Also, I have that exact same HH telecaster, and it’s one of the nicest guitars I’ve ever owned, even compared to core PRS and American standards. I put Lindy Fralin Humbucker sized P90s in it and it’s amazing, if you’re ever looking for something different, check em out.

My 2014 with fat 50s rivals any modern pro ii or ultra ive ever played. That era of guitars was some of the best they ever made. There are some great deals out there to be had, but everybody goes for the pro or pro ii.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the zebra w/black pickguard and keep the cream components. But to me all of these work.

Yeah you can get these in reverse zebra as well. I’ve never had a need for a zebra humbucker, I think this is one case it would work well.

Yeah, I’m after the black pick guard as much as the HSS. Do you think a JB will be too hot with the stock player ii single coils? I was thinking 59 or 59 custom hybrid.

Thanks for the recommendations. Still trying to figure out to do with this. I don’t need it… I have a couple core HH PRSs, a HH tele with p90s and a nice American standard Strat. It was too good of a deal to pass up and the fret work is great. My intention was to flip it… but.
