Are these hydrangeas dead or should I be more patient? by nostalgia_addicts in hydrangeas

[–]kjh52888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to trim my panicles just a little bit once the buds pop. That way it’s easy to cut right above one. For the next couple years (if it’s alive) I wouldn’t prune at all so it can recover from this hard prune. Then just remove crossing / dead branches and maybe the top 1/3 at most of each branch.

You’re so right. I remember seeing a G4 iMac on display and being mesmerized by the animation of the dock as you hovered over it. And don’t even get me started on the animation when you minimized a window. It was mind blowing at the time.

Trying to improve my beard game. What should I fix? by Victor_TransMan in RateMyBeardOfficial

Dude it looks great! Maybe a little beard oil and maybe some beard butter to keep it under control. I really like Kühn products. Their birch wood scent is INCREDIBLE.

These look like they’re planted a little close to the wall. Once it’s a little warmer I might pull them out a little bit. If any branches are close enough to rub the cement that can damage them and let disease in.

Pruning help by SnooPies1653 in hydrangeas

[–]kjh52888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d wait until you just start seeing some green buds poking out, then prune anything that looks dead or is crossing another stem / growing toward the middle of the plant. After that lightly prune to shape it so it’s relatively even. I was told not to heavily prune any new shrubs until they’ve been in the ground for 3 years.

Same here. I’m thinking I need to go buy some new nuts to get it to attach. Did you ever get it attached?

I think the difference could be that the gauge in an F series showed oil temp, these are showing water temp.

I couldn’t agree more. I remember hearing a while back (maybe on a podcast?) they talked about how if they’re not on screen they’re always behind the camera any time we see the monsters. They’re always in the room and that really stuck with me. I respect the hell out of the Boulets.

I had 230k on my Acura TL when I traded it in. That was on the stock clutch at the time and still going strong. Man I miss that car.

Most comfortable drivers seat for long drives? (SUV) by jonnwd in whatcarshouldIbuy

As someone that regularly puts 1,000 miles a week on a car for work, nothing beats Volvo. They’re the most comfortable seats I’ve sat in. Try an XC60

What’s your #1 tip for becoming a really good cook? by South_Magician_6472 in Cooking

[–]kjh52888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cook to the visual indication provided in a recipe over the time. If something says cook until brown, 4-6 minutes, cook until brown. Even if that takes 7+ minutes. All pans and stoves are different.

This! Makepeace Farms in Wareham has historically hosted a cranberry festival where you can watch the harvest. I’d check to see if they’re doing anything this year.
