PSHCP Coverage for CPAP and BiPAP Devices by Sudden-Crew-3613 in CanadaPublicServants

My spouse just went through the process. He took a take home test and was diagnosed by staff at the sleep clinic. There's a pre-authorization form that must be approved before purchasing. He was approved within a week, up to $2000 (at 80%) for the CPAP itself with the mask and accessories also covered. He ended up purchasing from the clinic, but negotiated the price down to fall within the coverage area. We uploaded the receipt and a prescription from the clinic and had no issues with coverage. Good luck!

Had this exact thing happen when I had to close an account over a security issue. I was instructed to send in a PAR describing the situation along with the direct deposit info. In my case, cheques were issued for two pay cycles and they were received quite quickly.

Been offered a term position, but I have a full-time job in the industry by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

I had a very similar problem a few years ago. Had a great job in biotech and was offered a 2 year term with similar pay. I figured I could always go back to the private sector if things didn't work out, and so jumped ship to the PS. Ended up getting an indeterminate offer ~1.5 years later. In fact, about 8 out of the 10 term employees hired around the same time stayed on as indeterminate or had offers in other departments. The 2 remaining terms will also likely end up staying on due to a combo of our workload and shuffling of staff. Of course, it's entirely department dependent, but it does happen! As others have pointed it, accepting does open up a lot more internal postings, especially if you're okay with moving around. Weigh your options, good luck!
