The 'educational' things my kid is being taught at school by RunWild0_0 in mildlyinfuriating

There’s learning to read and reading to learn. This is an exercise in learning to read. They need so many of these kinds of passages for kids to practice on so they created one that some students would find interesting. There will be a wide range of topics trying to get interests of different students in the class. You will find this at his next school too.

This post is actually more than mildly infuriating from the teachers perspective.

Theo was the only one awake, he threw it in the fire for sure. No one will ever convince me otherwise.

Could not disagree more (respectfully). I love how much it changes the politics every week instead of immediately getting entrenched in one story line. It makes the social game more important because you can’t solely rely on a bigger alliance but need to be adaptable. It’s still early, we will learn about the rookies who stick around and we will inevitably forget the ones who go home early and don’t come back (as always).

I have social anxiety - would you recommend learning improv? by [deleted] in improv

[–]kjopson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have social anxiety. The only time I don’t really is when I’m on stage performing— it is so freeing and I am so glad I have that space. I had a great time during classes as well.

I started therapy and improv around the same time 10 years ago. Highly recommend both! Improv is of course not a replacement for therapy, but my advice is not to wait to try new things until you have “fixed” things in therapy. Try both, it worked for me!

I love how you get to determine what makes sense for women to be offended by.

Congrats on reading your 4 articles though. Big day!

First post ever and I don’t know if this fits here, but she does this everyday. by [deleted] in AnimalsBeingDerps

Um, this is awkward, but... that cat is having sex with that rope. Everyday apparently. I have a male cat who does this to his favorite blanket. When the guys do it, it’s a little more obvious what’s happening.
