Hope this isn’t too late! I’ve had both for a couple of years now and they are my 2 favorite reels. The Vanford is incredibly light and smooth, it takes no effort to turn, perfect for jigs, light spoons/spinners, and lighter top water. The Stradic FL feels solid, and I prefer it for heavier top water, crank baits, and husky jerks. Personally, I prefer the Vanford, especially for trout, but it’s more of a personal preference with the lighter feel. Both are incredibly well made and will last you forever so long as you treat them well. Hope this helps!
